if anything they need to get rid of divisions. for e.g. 130, 135, 140, 147......maybe 135 and 147 should stay. 154, 160, 175.....154 should go.

Obviously this is just another cash grab for Baby Blip Sulaiman... but really, for health reasons, it is something I've advocated for quite a while. Yes, an elite smaller HW isn't effected by the current weight limits, but who ever said boxing has ONLY elites fighting in the sport? This promotes lame fighters getting belts? Doubtful. Not any more than the current situation does with so many sanctioning organizations and belts. If anything, it makes competition better, closer.
Smaller weight divisions have only a few pounds difference between them. So making the playing field a little more level for most of the bigger fighters is a good idea IMO.
I doubt this idea goes anywhere anyway, but if it did I wouldn't mind at all.

I would propose:
Super middleweight 160-168 lbs
Light heavyweight 168-175 lbs
Junior cruiserweight 175-185 lbs
Cruiserweight 185-200 lbs
Super-cruiserweight 200-220 lbs
Heavyweight 220+ lbs
then the weight gabs between light heavy weight, cruiserweight and heavy weight would be smaller. And there would be category for those who can't go under 200, but in HW means nothing: e.g. Guillermo Jones

I used to not mind but I'm getting tired of divisions only being 3 pounds apart in the lower weight classes.
Get rid of Minimumweight for example.
I don't think people really realize there are 9 of the f#cking 17 divisions between 105-135. 30lbs carry more than half of the divisions in boxing. And according to boxrec many of those 9 divisions are the least populated divisions in boxing.

this is smart.. theres too wide of a weight range in that division. We say its crazy for Floyd to fight GGG and thats only a 15 lbs difference. A fighter weighing 260 has no business fighting someone thats 220.
I think they should divide the heavyweight division up and get some of the junior weights outta here. Get rid of jr lightweight, jr welterweight, jr middleweight. 105, 108, 112, 115, 118, 122, 126 should probably just be 3-4 divisions.
