I felt the same way the first time i watched it...but when i saw the replay, i didn't think it was a big deal at all. He had a slow start and took a bit to adjust to canelo...he had his moments in those rounds, it's not like he got blown out or anything. He just looked awkward and like his reflexes weren't what he expected them to be and canelo was faster than he expected.I thought he looked REALLY bad those first 3 rounds. Like I said in another post it was almost like he was an MIB alien in a humans body in those first couple rounds.
And I just can't recall a guy who looked that out of body in a fight that I considered P4P #1. There are some things that come with being a P4P guy & looking like this is your 7th pro fight is one of them. And granted its all relative cuz obviously say what you will about Canelo he's not the type of guy anyone would be fighting in his 7th pro fight with how good he is now, but thats just saying how un-P4P-like GGG looked to me.
But fair play I am a guy who's ultra critical with P4P #1 spots & I feel like its something that should be changing more often than it does cuz its such an elite position looking bad for a nice segment of the fight or losing too many rounds in a fight vs lesser opposition or even being too competitive with a lower P4P guy are grounds for losing or not deserving that #1 spot.
I think ward had a worse first 3 rounds vs kovalev in the first fight and floyd looked out of place getting pushed to the ropes by maidana as well.Last edited by Real King Kong; 10-04-2017, 10:29 PM.Comment

I respectfully disagree. Those boys are cold. They are special. Look at Loma rigo's CAREER. And I say career, because any one else is just getting started at that stage. fighting 6-8 round fights! They are fighting champions. They have champions ducking them. What Loma and rigo are doing is UNHEARD OF. You're a missing out if you think anything differentComment

You f*gs love to hype Jacobs ever since he gave Golovkin a good fight. But you forget before that when you ridiculed him for getting knocked out by Pirog and dropped by Sergio Mora. You can try to create Jacobs into some sort of monster to enhance Golovkin's resume, but he's not. He's got a nice win over Peter Quillin and then jack **** after that.Comment
