Agendas running wild on here lately

So let me get this straight. Golovkin is P4P #1 because he beat a WW (who lost in the same manner to another WW), Jacobs (who a good amount of people thought he won), and Canelo (who he got a draw with and a good amount of people thought he won). But Crawford can't be #1 because he has to beat Spence? Talk about agendas! It sounds like you just want everyone to agree with because you think you're right. Isn't that the definition of an agenda?Comment

I call it how it is, when was canelo a ww ten years ago? He came in heavier than golovkin on fight night and has fought at 164 where golovkin hasn't been passed 160 in his career. Crawfords best win is postol which is equivalent to ggg beating Lemule you can't be the top guy with subpar opponents which golovkin had to learn himself. So let me get this straight. Ward got outboxed, knockdown, and beat up in the first 3 rounds of the Kovalev fight first time around. #1p4p doeGo look at those first 3 rounds vs Canelo. Thats not how the #1 P4P guy in the world ever looks while being #1 P4P. And not to not give GGG respect for his performance overall & him getting in the fight for most of the fight, but idk that GGG or Canelo are #1 P4P is maybe my first problem with what you are randomly making a thread about.Comment

I was actually talking about Brook but you're also making my point that Canelo himself lost to a WW. In a much more conclusive manner. I thought Golovkin won the fight but I agree with some others on this... Golovkin's win over Canelo doesn't help his cause because it wasn't that impressive. Neither were the wins over Brook or Jacobs. He has an argument to be in the discussion but he's not deserving to be at the top.I call it how it is, when was canelo a ww ten years ago? But Andre ward gets dropped and gets a gift, then the ref prematurely stops the second fight in his favor after deliberate low blows and he's #1 huh??I was actually talking about Brook but you're also making my point that Canelo himself lost to a WW. You do understand the P4P listing isn't based on 1 or even 3 fights right? Ward was P4P # 1 because of his previous resume and moving up in weight and beating the top dog in the division twice. Not only did Crawford move up but he beat all the top dogs in the division. It's not his fault he was so much better than the belt holders. Golovkin's claim is pretty pedestrian when you compare it to Ward's or even Crawford's.Comment

Once again Crawfords best victory is postol.. and that equals golovkin beating Lemule no way around Crawford not having fought a elite yet, he's up there due to his skill set but he doesn't have that resume yet.You do understand the P4P listing isn't based on 1 or even 3 fights right? And Ward took a gift and got dropped, then used cheating tactics to win a crooked reffed rematch after crooked judging in the first, if he's p4p #1 then we might as well throw solido on that list for low blowing his way to a crooked win over lomachenko.Comment

Those early rounds I could see golovkin improving each rd, he looked in control to me (knew what he was doing), none of that nervous sht or being neutralized, just the tactic he took early on vs a very strong canelo, and the middle rds really were no surprise, he played canelo like a fiddle.Didn't say it did. In fact went out of my way to say it doesn't & gave him respect for how he turned things around.
But what I am saying is GGG looked EXTREMELY un-GGG-like in those first 3 rounds & nothing like a #1 P4P guy I've ever seen. He damn near looked like he was super nervous, out of rhythm & like he'd not had the experience he does have. I actually thought it was going to be a shockingly one sided fight for those first couple rounds til he turned on.
And like I'm saying I've never seen any P4P top guy look THAT bad at any point when they were the P4P top guy. Maybe on the way up, highly possible on the way down, never during.
On to thw topic, like its been said, no standout #1 guy, could not care less who people have as their #1.Last edited by SplitSecond; 10-05-2017, 05:52 AM.Comment
