I just checked TBRB and BWAA and they have Crawford #1.

The Boxing Writers Association of America will be listing on a bi-monthly basis its top-10 pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Terence Crawford tops our first officially voted-on list of boxing’s pound-for-pound best, which is selected by BWAA members from respected news outlets and is broken down based on a descending points system, with a first-place vote receiving 10 points, a second-place vote receiving nine points and so on. Lomas better than GG IMO but I haven't got a problem with him at no.1 as it stands. Even though Canelo schooled him in my opinion, I always respect the official outcome.
Canelo barelly lost. GGG barely won..... no one got schooled.....

an example in schooling would be DeLAHoya schooling Vargas ( fighting on the back foot vs the stalker )....

Canelo was no Hoya, and GGG was no Vargas

But what I am saying is GGG looked EXTREMELY un-GGG-like in those first 3 rounds & nothing like a #1 P4P guy I've ever seen. He damn near looked like he was super nervous, out of rhythm & like he'd not had the experience he does have. I actually thought it was going to be a shockingly one sided fight for those first couple rounds til he turned on.

And like I'm saying I've never seen any P4P top guy look THAT bad at any point when they were the P4P top guy. Maybe on the way up, highly possible on the way down, never during.
But you had ward #1 and he got dropped and humiliated in the first fight with kov

I don't think Canelo is a P4P #1 guy either thats for sure. P4P is largely bs in general, but I think we all usually have some take on who the #1 guy in boxing is at any given time & neither guy looked the part, or close to the part to me.

I think P4P is up for grabs with Ward's retirement & I'd put Loma, Crawford, Rigo & probably even a Thurman & Spence ahead of either of these two. A few of these guys don't have as impressive of resumes, but they've shown bigger & better talent to me in those wins & certainly seem more "unbeatable" right now to me than either of those two guys who fought last month.

I don't even think ggg is currently the best fighter in the world...but a p4p #1 fighter can't have a slow start or look bad in a couple rounds?
