Mikey is signed to Haymon who is golden boys enemy so I doubt this gets made but a decent test for mikey if he does. Not a lot of options at 140 so hopefully he takes this fight and grows a pair of balls and really tests himself against someone like lomachenko afterwards. Mikey passes the eye test but he hasnt beaten anyone to deserve his p4p ranking. He sat on the shelf for almost 3 years rather than face Gamboa

I'd rather see Linares vs Garcia than Garcia vs Cotto or Linares vs anyone else so hope this happens. Might not be the payday Garcia is looking for, but its a great fight between two top guys, if not the top two guys, at their weight.

I think Mikey controls his own destiny more than few cats in boxing today. The only way this fight doesn't happen if Oscar doesn't make the fight cuz Mikey won't sign away options or sign with GBP in general. I believe this was already a fight being looked at & thats why it didn't happen already cuz Mikey doesn't wanna sign his promotional rights away long term.

Linares is too open at times. Mikey beats him easily. Possibly stop him mid to late rounds.

I favor Mikey too. Thats why I seriously doubt this fight happens cuz Oscar won't sign it unless he gets options on Mikey & Mikey isn't likely to wanna sign away options unless its a great deal for him.

The one missing balls is Arum and Lomachenko, who Garcia will flatten if he has the balls to approach making the fight. Yes the big scary Gamboa, the one who quit against Robinson Castellanos, who Garcia knocked out in like his 8th fight.

Great fight but Mikey seems to be talking about fights north of 140 (calling out cotto and Danny garcia) so does he even want to fight anymore at 135? Then you have golden boy and haymon who rarely work together unless it's a big money ppv fight with canelo. And you have Mikey saying he wants to only fight on showtime and Linares just fought on HBO. So you have a network conflict as well. I like Mikey if it actually happens.
