Finally a mandatory fight between Mikey and Linares. It will be very interesting to see the negotiations between Mikey Garcia and Golden Boy Promotions.

They both want to do work together however Golden Boy Promotions wants Mikey to sign for them for more than 1 fight.

If Mikey can get a written contract stating that Miguel Cotto and Jorge Linares are his next two fights guaranteed then if I were him I would sign a multi fight deal with an option for Mikey to pick up more fights.

Awesome fight. Linares is talented as all hell, but he tends to get lazy/fight down to his opponent's level. He can't afford to have an off night against Mikey

Mikey won't sign with anybody. Going to a purse bid isn't a bad outcome at all.
