The ref may have some justification but the fight was stopped too soon. Floyd ain't a big puncher, and Conor did hurt him in round 9 as it was a legitimate punch, not a low blow. Having said that, McGregor should have trained to go 12 rounds at a good pace, and not fatigue like that. But they both made a massive amount of money and the book is closed on Floyd.

He's talking about the low blow.
It was low. Go watch the Mayweather-McGregor epilogue, it shows it clearly from another angle.. Mayweather was actually the puncher in this fight McGregor got Malignaggi level of power. The ref may have some justification but the fight was stopped too soon. Conor is in his prime, it's his own fault for not bring conditioned to go 12 rounds. Dude was getting rocked by a 40 year old, 2 years retired, couldn't spar for a month, half a training camp, ex-champion boxer. It was also clear that after the fourth round, Floyd could have sparked him. Anyone that just watches boxing saw openings that Floyd could have exploited. Also, Byrd let Conor hammer fist a TON of times with no warning. I thought Byrd did an excellent job given the circumstances of this fight. Conor should take his L like a man, no shame in coming to another sport making 100 mil.Comment

Ok first, it was a low blow. Second, go to youTube and watch the AllAccess Epilogue and listen to the instructions of Byrd to McGregor. And Third, there was already concern from the Nevada doctors about allowing this fight and allowing 8oz gloves. Fourth, his hands were down by his side. He couldn't even lift them. No boxing ref in the world is going to allow a fighter to be hit with his hands down. It's time to move on.
