fights were won and lost on the basis of how good the judges were at playing video games
there is sooooo much wrong with that approach, but the most relevant objection is that the pro game is nothing like amateur boxing

this is the hurt game
am, to pro..... is like comparing the 100m to a marathon
you need a completely different approach because it is a completely different game
old-school judges likely only see clean, MEANINGFUL, punches
they may not even acknowledge a lot of the other stuff

He's 35, not 28, srsly.

For everyone else (outside of heavyweights & Hopkins) 35 is old.

You can't coin the term big drama show, and then go 12 rounds in 2 consecutive fights while being touched up.
GGG set a standard, he is failing to live up to it, I mean, he could not even get a Jr Middleweight out of there within 12 rounds.
GGG is a good fighter, not a great one, he is a product of the weakest era of middleweight boxing mabye ever.
GGG most likely will never fight someone in a higher weight class that is a danger to him, which is a shame, but unlike Mayweather, Manny, Canelo, Cotto, Oscar, GGG does not want to be great, not really.
GGG's a 35 year old middlweight. I think it's pretty safe to say that his prime has passed by now.

^^^^ gets it.
Its impressive when fighters can move weight divisions and still be competitive but far to much emphases is put on it. Anthony joshua isnt **** since he wont fight at light heavyweight, am i right? The "insert anyone" is hiding at X weight is a ****** argument. almost as ****** as "he didnt knock X out, therefore = ****ty fighter".

expectations are just that; expectations. if GGG, or anyone for that matter just walked over everyone always it wouldnt be an interesting sport.

Canelo is suppose to be the next p4p superstar who couldn't beat a guy who's on the decline! Canelo is the biggest draw in boxing but far from a superstar! I think Canelo is a good fighter but I don't think he'll ever be the p4p best because I see at least 5-8 fighters who are much better than Canelo.
his physique and height/reach is more fitting of an aggressive jcc/duran type fighter, but he isn't that type of fighter stylewise.
