I would have no problem with Canelo fighting Charlo after the rematch. Like I said before he showed me nothing special against Trout and having a one-legged GIMP last 4 rounds is a bad look as well. I would put money on Canelo to win that fight.

Cinco de Mayo is so overblown. It means more for people in the States than Mexicans. The day is about the equivalent to Columbus Day in Mexico. It actually might be less significant than that outside of Puebla. The fight being on Cinco de Mayo won't bring in any big difference in money. I don't disagree that Mexican Independence Day makes sense and I can see the economic benefit but this play on 5/5 I don't believe.

Whatever the case they'll fight when ever Canelo wants, he's the A side. I hope it is no later than then. I'd like to see Golovkin fight before that if that is the case.

I disagree! We celebrate Cinco De Mayo every year. We throw a big party with lots of food and drinks. And then later gather around the tv for boxing.

I never said no one celebrates it, it is celebrated but not by Mexicans in Mexico. It was started by Chicanos then pushed by Modelo and now celebrated by Latinos and non Latinos mostly as a reason to drink. There being a big fight or no fight isn't going to diminish Cinco de Mayo nor do I think it makes any big difference on The magnitude of the fight.
