Ortiz is clean he took medication for his blood pressure but Wilder's side is coming up with excuses because they know the Cuban monster would smash that lenky wind mill punching cherry picker. There are no American HW fighters anymore..wilder is the only pathetic thing they have so they need to protect him..joshua would probably go to jail for murder if he fought chicken legged wilder lol

Blood pressure medication doesn't seem to be a cause for failing a drug test, but this medication is clearly on the banned substance list under the diuretics and masking agents, and therefore it is a failed test, plain and simple. Just because he has a prescription for it doesn't make it right and I'm sure he could have been prescribed a different type of blood pressure medication that would not be on the prohibited list. Ortiz knew it was banned and he was probably trying to cover up PED's with this medication. I am very disappointed and I was looking forward to this fight.Comment

here we go!!!!!!!!! all I needed to see!!!! u know before ur tested ur supposed to tell the people what medications ur on so that they give u a pass for it. not sure if u knew that. hopefully it can get cleared up id like ot see this fight.Ortiz is clean he took medication for his blood pressure but Wilder's side is coming up with excuses because they know the Cuban monster would smash that lenky wind mill punching cherry picker. There are no American HW fighters anymore..wilder is the only pathetic thing they have so they need to protect him..joshua would probably go to jail for murder if he fought chicken legged wilder lolComment

I want to see the fight happen but this looks like a classic case of "I was a suppliment and I didn't realise it had PED's in it"Comment

I'm certain you have to list any and all medications you are taking prior to testing. If he failed to list that medication then he is 100% at fault. He cheated once before, so he obviously doesn't take his career all that seriously. Meanwhile. Wilder is getting rich off lawsuits from opponents failing tests. Didn't even have to throw a punch and got $5M for the Povetkin fiasco. No wonder he's turning down fights.Comment

I am just waiting to hear that Pulev is injured or failed the drug test..
Why are we all so naive, Wilder - Joshua is the big cash fight and no fight that would put this in danger will be allowed.Comment

The hctz correct is s very mild diuretic for hypertension which means his blood pressure is not even that bad, it's like the weakest med a Dr can prescribe for hypertension. However how is a beta blocker a performance enhancing drug bro? Lol. Beta blockers slow down the heart rate and if anything he would not be able to even box because his heart rate won't increase during the fight and he would pass out. These beta blocker...if they are alpha blockers or calcium channel blockers..and if they are first or second generation blockers will all do the same effect. Beta blockers make the brain and heart receptors slow down, therefore if he was on it he would be calm as hell, and lack stamina... even power. Now what is being said is that what was actually found was a masking agent, the same agent to mask PED/steroids/testosterone. However Ortiz's camp is saying that the masking agent was so they would not find out he was on a Alpha blocker and hctz. Which are by far not PEDs. So spare me Ortiz. Now a banned substance could be a drug called lasix which is given for people with congestive heart failure, liver failure, or kidney failure...but that's for old , overweight people that usually have less than ten years to live. BUT some athletes use it to make weight as it is 100 times strong than hctz to make you pee up a storm. Hctz usually makes a patient pee once after taking it then they just pee through out the day like normal people not on it. However they are both diuretics (hctz and lasix) so it could be that. But heck he doesn't need to make weight this is the heavyweight division lol. So guys it could be the diuretic of hctz which btw you don't need to be diabetic to be on. (****** article acting like they are in the medical field) but a expensive masking agent for something he has a prescription for? ...so 65% PED he may be on or because the hctz being the weakest diuretic in the world lol 35 % that would be the reason. But making agent is why he failed I'm leaning towards PEDs. Yes I'm a PA and Paramedic for LAFD for 18 years and I've been a boxer for even longer. Lol what I'm curious about is when AJ fights Wilder for the WBC belt will that dude pass a test being a part time body builder lol. We shall see gents.sounds like its also used as a beta blocker which is actually considered performing enhancing. either way its hard to take ortiz serious at this point and not assume there is more to it. like seriously ur taking high blood pressure med and u dont think to tell them? ya right
steve kim reposted this sounds like he thinks its a masking agent or beta blocker at the very least. either way cant see how ortiz gets by this
