Look the numbers dont lie, every fighters market value reflects the way they are all treated in this sport.
Why is Shawn Porter being treated like a second tier fighter?

He's a crude brawler that is high risk and low reward. Watching that Berto fight was rough to sit through. The top welters don't want to risk getting roughed up all night for a guy who isn't a household name. Danny Garcia is looking for a fight with Callazo last I heard. Didn't want any part of Porter because he doesn't to risk another loss which will set his career back even further.Comment

Ok good news being a family man can't fault him for that. Thought losing really got to him like some fighters.Danny's living life; he earned more than $2m off the Thurman fight, after already basically having his life set, financially, even before the fight, and he's seemingly taken this break to rest his body and be a father to his little girl.
Saw a picture of him from some event where he was being featured, and he's already gotten rid of his usual bit of bloat between fights.
No rush for Danny.Comment

It likely did bother him, but he's only been out of the ring 5 months now, is seemingly already getting into shape to fight again, and he likely left out of the Thurman fight with his home set, his pop's set, his business in Philly humming, and at least another million dollars in the bank.
His heart is hopefully still in fighting, but the days of fighters simply needing to take fights to keep the lights on, as far as the guys with Haymon, are over.Comment
