Better for getting gifted a draw which was a dominant 8:4 victory for an aging GGG? Damn son, if the judges scored correctly, people wouldnt even ask for a rematch because the old dude without defense just dominated the primed face of boxing.

It's obvious which one got better experience.
      Golovkin?

Seriously, Golovkin isn't as fast as Canelo, and he simply isn't the blitz with a combo guy, he's a precision power puncher that works behind a jab. Canelo doesn't know how to conserve stamina, he is either in full defense mode, or full attack (or counter-attack mode), he doesn't know how to turn it down a few notches and build his stamina back up like the ATG's and all night he was being set up and out-thought by Golovkin (not to say it was a white wash or easy, Canelo is still very hard to hit, and behind every slip there could be a bomb laid down) but Golovkin was the only one that used set up punches on Canelo, all I saw from Alvarez was a him seeing a punch and using his speed and reflexes to counter off that punch, or blitz Golovkin and hope a few of those 5 punch combo's land. Golovkin schooled Alvarez, Alvarez's physical attributes (speed, power, youth etc) made it close. This fight was a super athletic youth vs an old man, and the old man took it with experience/skills built up over years, lol, people actually think it was something else?

I like this one of Golovkin taking Alvarez for a walk before wacking him ala Stevens KD.

The number of amateur fights or just fights in general doesn't define a fighters greatness. Canelo is just smarter and more skilled. You can fight 200 times doesn't mean you're gonna have better technique than someone with even 20 fights.

He ran, gassed out and got his ass kicked. All the non Mexican pro boxers and pro trainers thought GGG clearly deserved to win. Simple as that. It is what it is.

You could have 100 fights and be terrible, lose most of them

Or you could have 10 fights and be the best since Ali and easily one of the GOATS (Lomachenko). It doesn't define greatness. Canelo just has better technique.

Almost noone in the media scored the fight for canelo apart from two mexicans and his promoters lol, but you lot are making out it was something like calzaghe v lacy.
Didn't he dodge like 500 punches

And GGG ducked almost 400 punches. The guy coming forward. How is this even possible?

How exactly are you defining technique though? Both guys showed their strengths and weaknesses. I don't see how anybody can walk away from that fight and say that Canelo has the much better technique. Sure, he threw prettier shots/combos I guess. I personally had GGG winning (like the majority of people did) in a fight against two high level guys, if Canelo had the superior technique he would've won clearly.

Yet you want him to move up and fight the number one p4p Ward. Make up your minds doe. If he's not that good, you'd want him to fight Chavez, instead. Not the #1 p4p
