Why is canelo's technique so much better than a guy who had over 300 amateur fights

Canelo looked real sharp throwing pretty combos while the guy with the extensive amateur background was lunging and throwing sloppy looking combinations.

You would have thought canelo was the Olympic medalist.

Good point. But it's clear canleo is the more pure talented of the 2. GGG is no slouch and deserves the non exaggerating compliments he receives.

They won’t acknowledge Jacobs or Alvarez as just as good fighters

It's not though. GGG Has the better jab and better footwork by far. Faster hands dosen't mean better technique. GGG controlled the fight he put canelo against the ropes each round.

Canelo is the more skilled. I said that before the fight and people had such a hard time with it. "GG's jab though!"
Too bad Canelo didn't listen to his corner and fought a ****** fight. He might have won had he fought more intelligently.

This is hard for noobs to understand, but having greater skill doesn't win you the fight. History is full of more talented boxers who lose fights. That's why they fight rather than just display their skills on the bag.
