The gate wasn't 42 million pounds. That's the total revenue
Just Google "Froch v. Groves live gate" and the first article has a income statement for a UK PPV eventLast edited by Butch.McRae; 09-27-2017, 01:00 PM.Comment

GGG's guarantee was 3 and Canelo's was 5. The fighters get 60% of the ppv money while Canelo will get a 60-40 split of that. That will be ggg around 20 and Canelo around 30. Way more than 10Comment

Where do you get those numbers? If the fight did 1.5 mil buys at $80, that's 120 mil. HBO takes 10% of that and the cables providers take 50% of whats left after HBO's cut. So that's around 54 mil left. The fighters aren't going to split 54 million. Obviously GB is going to take a cut just as well as K2 to recoup the money spent on the promotion. GGG and Canelo will make a career high but it all depends if the PPV sold .Comment

Bro your numbers prove that GGG is a draw. Obviously Canelo is the A side but didnt Canelo-GGG sell way more than Canelo-Cotto?
GGG did more buys than ever before but so did Canelo (excluding Mayweather fight)
BOTH are draws even tho Canelo is the bigger draw. Your post made it seem like Canelo always sells this many PPVs which is not trueComment
