Does that make any sense? They report a sold out crowd of 22,358 but they only sold 17,318 tickets and comped 934. So thats a little over 4,000 tickets not accounted for but yet it was a sold out crowd?

Great numbers for GGG. vs Canelo.

Hard to compare, eg if you consider the average price of those Vegas tickets was $1,562, then look at the pricing for Joshua/Pulev (for example):

with top-priced VIP seats priced at £1,500 with the bottom-priced tickets selling for £40.

So even if 70,000 tickets sold, average likely to be well below the $1,562 in Vegas, and average price would have to equate to something like $385 for the total gate to exceed the Canelo/Golovkin one.

Prices likely higher for Wlad, but not by much.

Wonder if everyone who said GGG should accept a flat fee can see now how at the time, that offer was a blatant attempt by Oscar to avoid the fight for the time being while still trying to save face. Everyone knew this fight would do huge numbers due to the demand, despite ggg not generating big ppv #s with lemieux and jacobs.

Well GGG's guarantee was 3 million so will he end up getting more than he was supposedly offered as a flat fee is the question?

So how much Canelo and Golovkin can clear from this fight ? Asuming fight do around 1.5 million ppv buys that will bring in around $100 million. Fighters get around 60% of the PPV revenue so thats $60 million to be shared between the two fighters. Canelo Alvarez is “A” side with 60/40 split. So thats pretty much secure both fighters their biggest career purse with Canelo clearing over $35 million while Golovkin taking home around $24 million from this fight.
