Mayweather, Jones and Hopkins would be my first choice to HOF based on the fact that Jones hangs it up this year. I have a hunch that Ward will be back in 1 or two years down the line.

All the **** Maywether has gotten over the years and yet in a discussion of ATG top 100 fighters (excluding Cotto and Bradley), he's unquestioned as ahead of the bunch. Some of these guys have been ranked as high as 25 - 30 on ATG lists (RJJ, Hopkins, Manny)and no one argues that Floyd doesn't trump them.

I don't think he's TBE, but it's hard to argue he doesn't belong in the TOP 10 fighters ever. He's definitely in the TOP 15 imo.

It's an insult to put Wlad in there, he's the only fighter out of that list that doesn't have a single win over an A level opponent.

Who does Wlad have on his resume that comes close to Kovalev, Froch or Kessler? Wlad beat nobody.

I suspect Roy Jones will fight again so this won't be an issue.

I don't really count either of the kovalev "wins". Just gonna be honest there, even if it sidetracks the convo.

Froch and Kessler are good wins, perhaps a notch above Haye, Povetkin, Byrd, etc etc etc, but Ward had a short career filled with inactivity.

Wlad dominated the premier division of boxing for 10 years. The HOF significance isn't comparable. Only boxing nerds will remember who Ward is a decade from now. Wlad, Jones, Mayweather will be part of the sport's image/legacy for a century.

It's not a debate. Mayweather, Jones and Klitschko without a question.

Wlad dominated the weakest HW division in history. Beat nobody. Ward beat the better fighters and was recognised as the best fighter on the planet. He DESERVES to go in ahead of Wlad.
