This isn't a personal attack on Ward at all, but when I look into my crystal ball I see Wlad being remembered as an ATG Heavyweight and Ward being essentially forgotten (despite having been arguably a top 3 ATG at 168).
Despite some great wins (even if you put the asterixes by them) Wards inactivity and lack of either what I like to call 'flash' or highlight reel KOs have combined to make him into a fighter whom even his most dedicated fans seem to struggle to get all that excited about. Shame really because he is an excellent fighter... but in 20 years the only folk who will ever speak about him will be the hardest of the hardcore guys in the history section.
