Did somebody say that Jim Lampley is deteriorating. He is now calling fights as he thinks they are rather than as they actually are. He sees punches landing that are actually blocked or missing the target. It is sad. Lampley, Michael Buffer and now GGG are in decline. Let's see who will step up to take their place.Comment

Yeah, I was one of those people that had him winning. Let me clarify my statement. Golovkin is a really good fighter. However, people such as Jim Lampley made him out to be outrageously better than he is. There are people that actually think the very mention of his name brought fear to other boxers. Now that their belief is being shattered, they're conveniently blaming it on his age. The fact is he was never as good as his fans and many in the boxing media made him out to be. He is good enough to be a great champion and beat most of the fighters in his division. My question is why elevate him to such an elite status, when it was easy to see that although he is really good, he is not on the level of some of the truly great boxers in history.Last edited by HarvardBlue; 09-24-2017, 12:27 PM.Comment

If GGG was the monster everyone thought he was, Canelo wouldn't want an immediate rematch! Canelo could make big money fighting Cotto, but he wants GGG! That tells me that they think they can beat GGG...easily! Cotto is a much bigger draw, and he's signed with GBP! For Canelo to turn that down (an in-house fight) for GGG, speaks volumes!Comment

Jacobs blocked GGG's body shot by his elbow, I think GGG injured his hand. After that GGG was very passive. In my opinion, GGG didn't want to injure his hands in Canelo fight. Maybe I am wrong.Comment

You mean when he stepped up the competition OVER TIME? My god I didn't know that your age just stayed the same waiting for you to land that big fight.Comment
