LAS VEGAS Now that Canelo Alvarez has announced he won't return to the ring until May, Gennady Golovkin's handlers have their sights set on another former WBC middleweight champion. Tom Loeffler, Golovkin's promoter, said following Golovkin's controversial draw with Alvarez on Saturday that night he would like to set up a Golovkin-Miguel Cotto fight for December. Cotto sat ringside to watch the Alvarez-Golovkin fight at T-Mobile Arena and said before their bout that he was interested in facing the winner.

Why would GGG want to fight 154lb. Cotto @ 160? I mean GGG always says, "I'm not business man," so I don't see the point in fighting Cotto in December. Saunders is finally willing to fight GGG, and Saunders is a MW champion, so why are we talking about Cotto? Of course I'm being sarcastic! GGG is "business man" just like everyone else! He knows Cotto brings in more money than BJ Saunders, Jacobs, or Charlo! I'm not mad at him. Just stop being a hypocrite!

Be men about this whole thing, stop trying to pick on little cotto & fight either Jermall Charlo which is the mandatory for the winner (since all the lil g fans THINK he won) but I'm sure you won't....or just wait till May for a rematch.

Cotto is not a middleweight and would be decapitated in under 6. Golovkin should fight Saunders to become undisputed or fight Charlo who is his WBC mandatory. (Jacobs seems to be fighting in November so he's not an option at this stage.)
