That's why he missed so much.

I don't necessarily see the physical decline you're talking about but it could also a combination of both.

people see what they want to see

especially if they need a a reason to justify why something did not play out as planned

LOTS of posters predicted that Golovkin would suddenly get old in that fight..... wow, what a coincidence..... Golovkin suddenly got old, just as he stepped up in competition, just like Pac did at welter..... wow, what a coincidence

the step-up to Marquez/Bradley/Mayweather, are why Pac suddenly got old..... despite being just as fast, despite having no problem pulling the trigger..... just like Brook/Jacobs/Canelo are why Golovkin suddenly got old

          most of that, is rubbish

Jacobs was considered a bum. Way out did the "face of boxing". Canelo ran like a bitch and nobody thought he won or even deserved a draw....

but, who cares..... how is that even relevant ?

Golovkin missed a TON of punches, his vaunted power was largely ineffective, and he got outboxed..... failing to put the smaller man away, or even get him in trouble

that does not sound like Golovkin's gameplan to me

                  that sounds like Canelo's gameplan

listen man, that fight was REAL close

and no, Pac did not beat Mayweather either

Ali in your top 10 since 1970?

He lost to Frazier, Leon Spinks, Ken Norton, and Leon Spinks in the '70s.

My list would have to be:

                      1. Roberto Duran
                      2. Roy Jones Jr.
                      3. Pernell Whittaker
                      4. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
                      5. Juliio Cesar Chavez
                      6. Sugar Ray Leonard
                      7. Marvin Hagler
                      8. Manny Pacquiao
                      9. Evander Holyfield
                      10. Ricardo Lopez

Or, people could just age in their 30s, which they do.
