Williams does present problems for Floyd, but to say he is some atg, with no wins against elite guys. but losses against less than elite guys on his resume is crazy.
Hagler lost to lesser guys, Duran lost to lesser guys, Manny...etc. Fighters have off nights and I think he beat Margaritto with ease.

This is probably going to be a repeat of the Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Tony Pep match.

Who knows but I don't think Floyd does well against long opponents save for Chico. He would have to go toe-to-toe with pw to have a chance. With all that being said it doesn't make pw greater. Styles make fights and that's a bad match up for mayweather. Mayweather washes everyone on pw's resume I don't pw washes everyone on Floyd's.

            Floyd was scared doe
If Paul Williams was under Bob Arum?

More than likely, YES and YES!!!

But nobody was calling out for a Paul Williams vs Manny fight back then .... most probably because it would have been a very awkward fight due to the evident size differences and as stated, Al Haymon/Arum roadblock.

Floyd and Paul Williams both had Al Haymon and Paul Williams called Floyd out.

Paul Williams said that all it would take was a call from Floyd to Al Haymon and that fight was done!!! BUT Floyd forgot Haymon's phone number!

              BUT

then you need to do the same with Floyd's opponents and then people would be saying the complete opposite!!!

              - Was Hatton at his best at WW?

              - Was Marquez at his best at WW?

              - Was Ortiz his best at WW?

              - Was Guerrero at his best at WW?

              - Was Berto at his best when he fought Floyd? 3-3 cherry pick.

              - Was Manny Pacquiao at his best at WW? His 7th division and was injured ......

              - Was Maidana at his best at WW? Lost easily just before to another boxer in Devon Alexander, his preferred gloves were missing in action

              - Sharmba at his best at WW?

              - Was Zab Judah at his best at WW? Lost to Baldomir just beforehand plus lost to Clottey, Paul Malignaggi, Cotto, Spinks and Floyd. So Floyd was just one of many. NOTHING SPECIAL! Was done BEFORE and AFTER!

Did I miss anyone? Oh yeah, Baldomir!!!

When talking about PWill people bring up every fight except Quintana 1 and Lara. People also forget to discuss Martinez 1 where the 3rd card was 119-110 while the other 2 were 114-114 and 115-113. Sound familiar?

Most of you act like Margarito was how he fought his whole career.
                1) Quintana and Sergio lost as well to Williams.

                2) P Williams was doing decent in fight 2 with Martinez but got caught.

                3) You do not bring up that Williams sparked Quintana in the rematch.... quick work

                4) Lara fight was after Martinez KO.

                5) Most importantly, those 3, Lara, Quintana and Martinez were all southpaws. Floyd is not a southpaw!

Floyd fights a relatively low work rate. Some who would outwork Floyd didn't do it for 12 rounds. Paul Williams could do it for 12 rounds!!!

Paul Williams height and reach advantage would mean that he could get to Floyd wherever he was. Floyd's defense is not as effective against southpaws with those type of advantages!!!

As briefly mentioned, Paul Williams no doubt had a very high work rate and high stamina. Floyd would be too busy getting hit all night.

Paul Williams was interviewed and said similar points as I said.

I'd say so. He did this at welterweight:

Great. Now go post up about Williams being mad that Pacquaio wouldn't fight him at 147. Yep. At 147. What you got?

He’s mainly targeting Manny Pacquiao who once again dismissed Williams instead fighting one of Williams’ most famous victims Antonio Margarito. First of all this is as pointless as Pacquiao-Cotto 2, it’s a washed up Margarito who is still struggling to get his license back in Nevada after being found guilty of loading his gloves before his fight with Shane Mosley. We don’t know for sure how many times he’s been using this plaster in his gloves but it is a huge conspiracy. Margarito hasn’t got his lucky plaster with him now and don’t expect much of a contest there especially at 150 where Antonio will be weight drained and use that as his excuse after the fight.

                    So I fully understand why Paul is so angry about this, how can a guy you beat suddenly be fighting the best fighter on the planet after breaking boxing rules and losing his last major fight against Shane Mosley. While Williams is left looking around for a new opponent;

The Paul Williams would give Mayweather problems myth again.

Punches were too wide, Floyd would easily beat a prime Williams.

Vernon Forrest is the fighter people should make threads about giving Floyd trouble. That jab was a weapon and he threw it straight and hard.
