Interesting to see what happens here... If they decide to got the Cotto route, and then fight Canelo, they're not going to be able to unify the division, which what their goal was or they claimed it was. Because Derevyachenko is an IBF mandatory and they're going force the mandatory fight likely next year. Then Charlo is a WBC mandatory, although I don't think that matters that much because the WBC doesn't enforce mandatory like IBF.

But they've got a tough choice here. Do they go for the money fight with Cotto and risk losing one of the belts, Or do they got after Saunders and unify in December?

IMO, belts weren't and wouldn't be a priority. That was a ruse to avoid stronger competition. Watch them pick the weakest link: BJ Saunders or Cotto (Cotto won't go that way for his retirement fight).

He should rematch Jacobs in December or fight Charlo.

if no canelo rematch in May, then the Charlo mandatory after Saunders.

canelo vs Smith was ppv. multiple people have told you this and you still deny it. the only way you saw canelo vs Smith for free was if it was the replay a week later, since you say you don't stream.
canelo vs Kirkland is the only canelo fight on free hbo since his return. smith,khan,chavez,cotto,ggg all were ppv fights.

Don't be foolish, none of those other options are lucrative. Cotto perhaps, but thats a cherry pick, a BS fight. GGG has NO options to make money outside of Canelo. Canelo meanwhile? He has a laundry list of options, and only ONE of them is GGG

Nobody wants to see Canelo vs Cotto and Jacobs, Lemuix and Charlo knock Canelo for cheap. Considering that all of this is common knowledge, when Canelo try's to get out of a rematch.....we will all know exactly why.

i can tell you the immediate rematch is a NO. canelo is in NO HURRY to get back in there again. you'll see.. and he'll say otherwise... but the next fight will not be the rematch that everyone wants, it will be basically a fighter canelo already knows he can beat.

I believe canleo thinks, he knows he can beat anybody. That's why fans should respect him. At this point if he hasn't proved he would figh anyone there's nothing he can do..... I would bet there is no fighter in history we could all come together and collectively respect.

I don't know. I would think if Golovkin unifies first and then fights Canelo later the purse would get elevated at the prospect of the winner getting all the belts.

That would be best for him if I was his promoter or on his Team.
