Funny how the killer is now being credited for his "jab" of all things.

Kind of like Larry Holmes who won a lot of fights due to his jab. So yeah, jabs count and it's one of the most important punches in boxing.

That's the thing about these guys. They can't get their stories straight. There's some legit, intelligent Golovkin fans on here so I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about the casuals who hype up the power, then switch stories, saying it's the volume that matters. They can't respect a close decision (Ward/Kov) until a close fight favors them (GG/Jacobs), but then it's back to everything is broken because here's another close fight they didn't like the result of. If they had a little consistency, they wouldn't have people trolling them and laughing at them constantly.

Oh, and whenever they don't like something, they go with the popular vote! Let's make a poll! Unless it's the Jacobs fight, then everyone can just deal w/ it.

Canelo had the better defense made GGG miss laughably bad all night long, he rarely landed anything clean or hard. Canelo the smaller guy actually landed more power shots for the fight then the supposed monster power puncher. 7 out of the 12 rounds Canelo landed more power punches. He also landed more body shots then the supposed monster body puncher. So that means GGG landed more jabs that's it. And the few times they weren't completely blocked or slipped by Canelo they were mostly grazing shots or pawing have little impact. While Canelo landed by far the cleaner shots, more hard shots (how many times did GGG's head look like it was going to fly off his neck?).

But we supposed to ignore body work, making somebody miss embarrassingly every time they try to land something significant and scared to get countered so much that he totally avoided throwing any body shots. He was a totally one dimensional fighter. Yeah he was busy and coming forward but it was ineffective pressure. Canelo was more skilled, never hurt and lumped up GGG's face. Remember when Jacobs landed all those power shots and the excuse for why he shouldn't win was well look at Jacobs face and look at GGG's his power shots meant more? But now it's oh you can't tell a winner by their faces because GGG's was marked up more then Canelo's and we ignore Canelo's cleaner power shots had more effect.

Golovkin won 4,5,7,8,9

But a few of those rounds could be swapped out to golovkin

Both Canelo's jab and his power punch connect percentage was way way below his usual par.

its funny how people now dont seem to count a jab as a scoring shot. It wasnt some flicking jab either, thats a solid shot and the way canelo was running onto the ropes after being busted up by it he sure as hell felt it. You guys need to appreciate you are the real minority and not many people agree with your assessment of what happened. Popular opinion nor statistics seem to back up any of this bull**** being spouted. If you fight on the backfoot, retreating to the ropes, look reluctant to engage but still get significantly outlanded, people are going to think you lost the fight. Dont understand how people seem to find that so hard to understand and mock others for thinking that way.

His real problem was his conditioning. He gave Golovkin too much momentum because he GASSED out. If he had mayweather conditioning he could fight all the rounds like the first 3 rounds

What 7 rounds are GGG fans sure he won without a doubt? There were at least 5 rounds that could have gone either way. Why can't GGG fans admit that?

I gave GGG 1, 4, 7, 8, and 9. 1 and 4 were close.

I gave Canelo 2,3,5,6, 10,11, and 12. 5, 6, 10, and 11 were close.

With so many close rounds a draw seems expected.
