I'm specifically telling you this guy is a hater. If you are his advocate so be it. The guy is a pure hater and not because he doesn't acknowledge Golovkin as some killer, best ever, blah blah blah. Read his post over the course of the last few months and it is 100% obvious to me that the guy is not reasoned, he is an emotional btch. BTW there are haters for every fighter. There are haters of athletes in every sport. I get the difference between being critical and having a contrary opinion and the hater. That isn't to say haters don't have any valid opinions, but when it is 100% hate that isn't someone interest in a true discussion.
I am a Golovkin fan and I'm a boxing fan. I don't care what your perception of what I am is. I know the reality. I'm just not wasting my time any longer on certain people. I view the hater generally as a loser in life. This is the petty guy who never accomplished sht and gets their kicks by trying to destroy. You can throw in the race baiters too, petty f'n people who are life's losers.
I will respond to people who want to discuss any boxer reasonably. I've seen this guy's clown show act before. You answer him with reasonable points and he is incapable of having an intelligent discussion about Golovkin. I'm a Golovkin fan but I value intellectual honesty first. I'm not going to go back and forth discussing this clown and discussing Golovkin. He is no longer worth my time. If you want to discuss the fight then just drop bringing him up and stuff that doesn't necessarily apply to me.Comment

I told you I was specifically referring to one poster in this particular case. You then came back with:
"There is a distinct difference between "fans of boxing" and "fans of Golovkin". The latter are quick to label someone a Golovkin hater for simply pointing out that their perception of him doesn't match reality. If you don't fall in that category, so be it. I will just note that failure to respond to the actual boxing portion if a post in boxing terms is typically a sign that a person is simply a "fan of Golovkin".
Again I'm talking about a specific poster and while you may not be defending him directly you are throwing up a defense.
I do not want to discuss both this guy and the fight at the same time, I said that crystal clear. So no I didn't answer you. I'm not flipping back and forth between boxing questions and who is and isn't a hater. So let's move on from that and discuss the fight I'm all ears. I had Golovkin 116-112.
If you mean why he didn't win these two fights by KO? Is that really what you want to say? I'd venture to say because they probably are excellent fighters. You aren't always going to KO the best.Comment

that was totally unrealistic, those fights were NEVER going to happen..... Golovkin's money-fight was always going to be Miguel Cotto
before the Cotto/Canelo fight back in 2015, Golovkin's biggest payday was Miguel Cotto, no question..... that fight looked inevitable
but I think Cotto has to be removed from that list as well

"I was talking to Tom Loeffler, who is his promoter, publicist or his manager. I asked him what weight Golovkin would fight [me at] because right now I'm 180-pounds. So I asked if he would come up to 172 and he said 'no,' that he probably wouldn't come up to super middleweight. The only fight I’d come back for potentially is Golovkin," Froch told Talk Sport.
“So if I was to come back, it would have to be for a really big fight like Gennady Golovkin, but having said that he's too small and talking about dropping down to 155-pounds to fight Canelo Alvarez. These are small guys compared to me.”
I don't think that fight was ever realistic, that discussion was filmed by IFL TV and is on Youtube..... it lasted about 5 minutes and was mostly good-hearted, tongue-in-cheek, banter..... it ended with Froch saying that he was too-big too-strong, and that he would smash little Golovkin to bits at 172
all of that talk was just grandstanding in my opinion..... because Team Golovkin have never lifted a finger, or made 1 single concession, in order to land a big fight..... not saying that they should have considered 172, but they refused to drop 1 single pound for the superstar Cotto, so..... just more grandstanding in my book
Chavez maybe, not sure..... I'm sure they would take that fight in a heartbeat..... but Chavez is not elite, so maybe he should be removed as well?
none of those names were seriously considered, let alone targeted, except for maybe Chavez
another point..... someone with Lara/Ward/Cotto/Froch on his resume would be a bad boy, even if he didn't win them allComment
