First of all, I don't think we agree on what an A-class fighter is. At this point the only actual A-class fighters that have called out GGG over the years AND whom GGG hasn't fought are Erislandy Lara and Andre Ward. I guess technically Miguel Cotto would count as well but I don't really think he is interested in fighting GGG. I think he just mentioned the winner of Canelo-GGG because he wanted to say Canelo and was acknowledging that Canelo had a tough fight in front of him.

And GGG's team was not soley focused on Canelo. Over the years they targeted other big money, high profile fighters like Mayweather Jr, Miguel Cotto, Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Yeah, I think it's bound to happen but I would rather see it come sooner than later. Tom Loeffler apparently wants GGG to return in December which I don't mind I think maybe a unification with Saunders or even a Cotto fight would be solid.

... Who to fight Cotto?... GGG?... Well, I don't see that possible (even Cotto wouldn't take such a fight)... but rather because that GGG would only get a pass for an "unification" fight vs BJS... otherwise he would have to fight one of his mandos, I guess...

Reality: Golovkin while elite, is just a really good MW that has been matched well. He is a killer, just not a killer of A class fighters. It is more likely that not that those A class guys that called him out actually wanted to fight him and would have had K2 not been singularly focused on a big money fight versus Alvarez.
Any fan isn't a hater, this guy is. There are a few on here who have absolutely no intellectual integrity. It was obvious before the fight and even more so after this fight. I really don't have time for ashats like this. There are enough people who I may disagree with who are reasonable and not idiots.

Here's the thing, I don't speak for everyone. I only speak for myself. I'm not interested in having a discussion about what "everyone" says. I'm only accountable for what I say. If a Golovkin fan says something silly I'll disagree, as I did with the guy who said Golovkin wasn't going for the KO in the Canelo fight. That's silly. But what I see is a lot of the Golovkin haters to take any statement and try to attribute to all the Golovkin supporters. Furthermore the guys on this site are generally the most passionate, they don't represent the average fan IMO.

What you are saying is "reality" is simply your perception. I'm not saying it is wrong but it is how you view it. It can't be a reality when you are making an assumption about why something may have happened.

I do not consider mentioning to the media that you would like to fight someone "targeting". Since Dec 2015 every decision made was towards protecting the Alvarez fight. Bickering with Froch over what didn't happen in 2015 doesn't count either. Frich admitted there were no real talks in 2016.

I stand by what I said as an accurate summation. There is a distinct difference between "fans of boxing" and "fans of Golovkin". The latter are quick to label someone a Golovkin hater for simply pointing out that their perception of him doesn't match reality. If you don't fall in that category, so be it. I will just note that failure to respond to the actual boxing portion if a post in boxing terms is typically a sign that a person is simply a "fan of Golovkin".

Why has Golovkin been unable to defeat his last two opponents similarly to the way he beat the four preceding those two?

What you said was " It is more likely that not that those A class guys that called him out actually wanted to fight him and would have had K2 not been singularly focused on a big money fight versus Alvarez."

The problem with that is that you first have to define what an A-class fighter is. I don't know if we'd necessarily agree. Secondly, you said GGG was singularly focused on a big money fight versus Alvarez. That is quite simply not true. Was he more focused on Canelo than other guys? Yes. Canelo was the biggest fight he could realistic get. But was he only focused on Canelo? No. That is just patently untrue.

hope so too, I don't want to wait awhile for a rematch. May 2018, or at the latest, september 2018. None of this long-wait crap.

So who did they voluntarily try and make a fight with? If it's "patently untrue", surely you can give me a name and source it. All we got was Loeffler in the media providing conjecture about what fights the would consider fighting. What fight did they work on?

I watched the fight on box nation. You're correct that they comment differently than HBO but box nation had GGG by a clear margin as well.

I can't find 1 boxing outlet outside of Mexico that has Canelo winning. Every major Sports network on the planet had it 116-112 or 115-113 for GGG
