9 months doesn't sound too "immediate", but it is probably the soonest that Golovkin can hope for.

May is 8 months out. Canelo stated his next fight will be in May, so immediate meaning when Canelo fights next and Triple G fights next. The next time they both fight to be with each other, immediate. Looks like May.

But I'm thinking Canelo may draw the rematch out and take another fight or two before rematching Golovkin.

He doesn't have to beg. I'm actually one who doesn't care if he fights Canelo again based on this lame decision. Had he won I'd say go for it.

Regardless Canelo needs this as much if not more than Golovkin from a pride and historical perspective.

Canelo won't fight BJS, that's why Bill was hoping GGG won. BJS isn't going to take his title to America to get robbed by the judges, and the Diva isn't coming to London for him.

Im fine with both guys taking a tune up fight next. They both deserve it. These types of fights take their toll on fighters. We just got a fight we asked for, was better than advertised and fans are still complaining ... haha ... btw I Canelo barely got away with the win on this one based on more effective aggression, ring generalship, defense and clean punching. Sorry but that's what I like to see in a fight. It's ok to disagree. I'm not particularly fond of come forward and take punches style. Canelo neutralized GGG body game which says a lot and took away his hooks which are his bread and butter. That to me says a lot. Great Fight. No complaints.
