Canelo and Triple G - Who Had The More Impressive Performance?

Forget about who you thought Won....

Based on past performances, and what you were expecting to see, which man had the better performance?

In all honesty Triple G let himself down, on paper, he was suppose to brutalize Canelo and knock him out

Canelo impressed me especially in the opening three rounds

Neither man impressed. And that's okay since it's hard to be impressive against another elite level boxer.

      obviously Alvarez.

GGG fans pre fight be like:

      ''Nelo isnt going to last...''
''If GGG gets NElo on the ropes it's over'
      ''GGGs Jab''
      ''Golovkin will unleash hell''

Alvarez took some jabs, yes, as if Byrd is going to give a timid jab performance to GGG over Nelo. lol

        I agree

Triple G didnt look impressive at all, only thing you can say that was impressive about him was his ability to take a shot

Easily canelo. GGG is supposed to be the big bad monster, the bigger puncher who was going to KO canelo. Yet he was missing badly, never hurt canelo and got his face all lumped up by the smaller man and actually outlanded by canelo in power shots.

Candelita was surely faster but got outboxed by a guy that the clowns on here call a face first brawler. GGG boxed her up, had her scared and running, taking naps along the ropes eating thudding power shots.

                Canelo.
His footwork and lateral movement really impressed me actually. Not so 'cement footed' after all is he?
He's always displayed good head movement, great upper body movement but I hadn't seen him utilise that kind of footwork before.

If there was one thing that impressed me about GGG it was his stamina. He was relentless and missed a hell of a lot and that **** is super tiring but still he was throwing volume until the very end.
I had him losing the championship rounds but from rounds 5-6 and on he seemed to get stronger.

                  I thought Canelo won.

He should have been busier tho.

I was also impressed with Golovkin, so much so that "Lil g" is gone forever out of my vocabulary.

He fought an elite guy his own size and did well.

Golovkin will make an appearance on my next P4P list.

I'm keeping the sig pic doe...

There was absolutely nothing impressive about Triple Gs performance.

I dont know if its his age, or if he was overwhelmed by the occasion or was it because he was up against a elite fighter - be it a smaller fighter - but elite

Triple G looks very beatable now...
