Canelo showed the boxing brilliance I've been saying he has had for a long time. He looked calm and composed pretty much all night long.

Golovkin looked like a club fighter for half the fight - from a stylistic perspective. Visibly looking frustrated at Canelo on the backfoot.

The problem is that Canelo seems to continually have stamina issues that don't affect his overall performance, but they affect his power. Against a guy like Golovkin who eats punches that's a dangerous state.

Canelo ran the majority of the bout. GGG pressed him and made the fight happen, he clearly won 8-4.
This is pro boxing not amateur boxing without GGG pressing there would be very little confrontation. Just because a fighter is competitive doesn't mean the fight is close or won. Canelo did nothing to win and was protected from the loss with a draw!
The 118-110 (10 to 2 score tells everyone that a "favor" was given
Byrd is a taker and without Golden Boy I doubt she works with any consistency.
It's shame that the new golden goose gets a pass with a draw when he clearly ran and never took over the play.
He didn't fight "Mexican Style" he fought cautiously without any willingness took dominate. He lost!

Canelo's heart, chin and feet impressed me but he lost clearly and looked very flawed

Golovkin. His defense is very under rated and even coining forward was able to make Canelo miss by what seem like several inches at times. The guy is truly a talented boxer. His jab as alway was spot on, even against the suppose defensive wizard Canelo.

Canelo's defense on the ropes against someone who cuts the ring off and stalks like GGG was very impressive. Golovkin's chin and how he continued to walk Canelo down after taking big shots was also impressive.
