Haven't shown to be vs Top Competition as far as his Power! However, he did show last night that he is far more skilled than people give him credit for and he fought better than he did vs Jacobs as I personally expected.
GGG is a LEGIT Top 5 P4P Fighter in this Current ERA! However, starting to see some slippage though as expected because he is 35. I think not being able to show that Power and really do damage to Jacobs or Canelo that is the SLIPPAGE! I don't see at run at 168 happening after 160 especially if him and Abel are b1tching about Jacobs size. It is some BIG Guys at 168 and GGG is NOT a Big Middleweight
Canelo wins the rematch though in another controversial Decisionall he really have to do in the rematch is stay off the Ropes! When he stayed off the Ropes Canelo was Out-Boxing him easily
but once he got on those ropes GGG hits too hard to block his punches

GGG missed many times but he has thrown more and landed more. By running, doing defensive movements and by a few counter punches you can't win. GGG was agressor, controlled the fight and landed huge amount of jabs. To beat the champion you must dominate. GGG got robbed.

So now I say look at lil g's face and look at Canelo's face. Lil g is lucky I thought he lost the first 3 rounds round 6 maybe even 8 and lost the last 3 rounds for sure.
lil g is a myth and a hype job. Knocking out bums and feasting on smaller fighters. His last two fights he looked ordinary and should have back to back L's on his record. THIS is the reason he ducked Ward and Ward called him "lil g" then Ward moved up to 175 and proceeded to beat the shyt out of Kovalev and take his belt and his heart.
Lil g is a fraud who in his step up fights looks nothing special at all. He only can beat Saunders at this point. Charlo would take his fuucking head off, Ward would smash him, Andrade would smash him Lara would outbox him. The walls are closing in.

Was it my imagination or did Canelo run for at least 60% of the fight. There were many time Golovkin was actually chase him from corner to corner.
One thing i did see from Canelo was an AMAZING side step when Golovkin was throwing his straight right.
IF there is a rematch Canelo is going to have to keep the fight in the middle of the ring and Golovkin is going to need to step across Canelo when throwing the right. Sorta like Lefty Lomachenko does.
Great, great fight ruined by the scoring. Didn't matter who you were rooting for you were on the edge of your seat and worried for your guy.

Canelo landed more power punches at a 41.9% connection rate. He also landed 44 body body punches to gggs 8. Ggg kept it competitive with his constant pressure and jabs. His power was nullified but so was canelo's combo punches. Both fighters gave each other too much respect and didn't take advantage of certain rounds when they had the other fighter in trouble. I think a draw was fair as there was no clear winner.

People claiming Golovkin 'controlled' the fight are a bunch of idiots.
Canelo did whatever he wanted in that ring. He traded when he wanted to, rope-a doped when he 'chose' to, used lateral movement when he wanted to, slipped, ducked, and weaved around GGG's punches and blocked most of them, and he walked GGG back into the centre of the ring when he chose to.
Everything he did is what he wanted to do, there was never a SINGLE moment where Golovkin was controlling the fight. Walking forward and eating punches left right and centre is not ring generalship.
If Golovkin had ring generalship he would have been able stop Canelo from using lateral movement to escape from the ropes and he wouldn't have gotten caught by the traps Canelo was setting up on the ropes almost every time.
Yaw fools don't know shieeet about boxing. Golovkin was given a boxing lesson, plain and simple.
But maybe getting to keep his titles aint such a bad thing if I'm being honest with myself, because now Charlo won't have to fight for a vacant title. He can be the third guy in a row to expose Golovkin, except this time Golovkin will get KTFO!
