So we're all just going to ignore the enormous amount of punches GGG missed? Yes he applied pressure but he missed sooooomany shots. Too many to have a clear victory. This fight was a draw.

How dumb is that? You don't lose points for missing shots. GGG threw more, landed more & won more rounds. he coulda missed 10 thousand shots, he still should have won. Landed shots count, not missed ones. smh

When boxing became a business it became corrupt. He's the champ at 160 so that means Canelo had to work. He had flurries but did not win rounds. Canelo is not the Mexican fighter he claims to be. He ran most of the fight.

I thought all along that Canelo's only real chance was as you point out to make GGG hesitant and also to make him miss his big shots. Both GGG and Canelo are "fearless fighters" and deserve to take a bow after this tough fight.

canelo said hell show how a mexican fights.. instead he showed exactly how mayweather fights. only difference is he has more power than floyd but canelo was on his best mayweather impression last night. had that been floyd in there he wins a wide decision over ggg.

this fight is exactly how cotto vs margarito 1 would've ended with no plaster.

This is about to most humble statement Canelo has made about GGG. To say that he tried to knock him out is a bit of a stretch when peddling on the back foot for 9 rounds. ggg did a whole lot of missin on those ropes. canelos upper body movement slicker than oil.. But of course lampley was getting hype over missed punches.

GGG is clearly the better boxer but now he'll be a year older and have to work even harder to win another 7 to 8 rounds, then pray the judges dont rob him.

Completely agree. I think Danny Jacobs is also regretting that he paid GGG a little too much respect in the early rounds. I know it is easy for me to say in the comfort of my air-conditioned study. I was not in the ring under the lights facing GGG's sledgehammer blows. I hope to see rematches.

Some of us talked about his level of competition before and we're labeled as haters. Now you're telling us we shouldn't judge him because he isn't performing well against better fighters? Well damn! Is there anything we can criticize him for or should we just agree with everything his fans say about him.

You won't get an argument from me. By all means, judge GGG. The fact is that it is easier to dominate weaker competition. You and others have been making that point all along and have been slammed by GGG's fan club for doing so. I get it but keep in mind most of those folks are into hero worship and not into boxing.
