Canelo fought in spots, but lacked the consistency to make his work more defining that the ever present jab of GGG.
Most of the rounds that you can give to him, are based off 30 seconds of activity at the start of the round, and maybe a rally at the end of the round vs GGG's consistent work 3 min of every round.

Gave 7 rnds to GGG . Give or take a swing rnd here and there , GGG still has by a rnd at least . I think the better boxer Canelo could have won but gave GGG opportunities by going backwards too much . If he could throw combos going forward and standing ground like he did the last rnd ,where was that most of the fight ?
GGG won bc he pressured Canelo and higher work rate landing enough .Last edited by juggernaut666; 09-17-2017, 08:08 AM.

Very good fight but Golovkin won. He swept 6 rounds in the middle fight clearly And won 2 more on my card. This sport is so currupt. Excellent performance by both guys. I know this place is a anti-Golovkin haven with trolls, but anyone who calls either of these guys overrated or hypejobs is a loser.Last edited by PK3434; 09-17-2017, 08:20 AM.

Saw the fight once and my feeling was that GGG won. Virtually constantly the aggressor and yes I understand you have to be the EFFECTIVE aggressor, and believe he was. He fought a much more positive fight than Canelo did. There where times where both men cancelled each other out too so that in itself can give off an illusion of the fight seeming fairly even, and Canelo did have moments of success landing clean shots and making GGG miss, but generally speaking GGG was the man in there that night.
The score widely in favour of Canelo is nothing short of disgusting. Blatant foul play. Blatant.

This is why I could see a draw from one of the judges. It depends who you had you money on beforehand regards to scoring close rounds.
In case of a rematch, I would favour Canelo (again), as rematches frequently play into the hands of the more technical fighter (which would be Canelo). It would also depend on the date - the longer it takes to make it, the better Canelo's chances are (obviously, as GGG is already borderline in terms of age).
