Who won the fight in your opinion and why?

    I had it 8-4 Golovkin.

Canelo as usual, fought in spurts and landed the more flashy combos but Golovkin won the fight on the consistency and constant pressure. His jab was more effective, he did miss a lot of power shots, but he did land a lot too. Think if he went to the body more, he could have stopped Alvarez. Canelo was on the backfoot the whole fight but he did meet GGG in the center of the ring a few times and landed few good looking hard shots that he thought would make Golovkin respect him, but they didn't, so he retreated.

Canelo's offence and defence were flashy and looked good, but they weren't enough to win this fight. GGG's consistency is what won him this fight imo.

    What about you?

Canelo landed the cleaner harder punches was the ring general and had much better defense

        8-4 golovkin, i can handle 7-5. 6-6 is sketchy.

Canelo won more rounds on my fight card. Simple as that.

I gave him 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 11, and 12. A couple of those were really close. Of course I gave GGG 1 which all 3 judges saw the other way. 4 was also a close round.

same score. i gave canelo the first two rounds and thought, this is gonna be tougher than i imagined, canelo is doing good. but then GGG got into the fight and that was it. slowly canelo ran out of gas and eventually was there just to survive while throwing insignificant flurries. yes he did landed some nice punches, but were few and far between. plus, GGG hurt him a couple of times in the latter rounds

Honestly, I gotta watch it tomorrow when I'm not drunk and nobody's here. But I thought Canelo won (I also thought Canelo would win a decision if it went to the cards though). All in all it was a good close fight, either outcome is good with me, except a draw. That sucks.
