And for me, I had 9-3, I gave Canelo 2,3, and 10. He might have won the 12th but it was a close round. It's beyond me how every judge gave Canelo the last 3. It's like they knew Canelo was losing so decided to ignore the rest of the fight and just give the rest of the rounds to him.
I never seen a fighter get so much credit for fighting in 1-minute intervals while lost the last 2 minutes of each round.

I don't think a draw was the right call but there were a few rounds I had a tough time deciding because Canelo landed many fewer, but more effective punches and GGG was the aggressor, who was throwing & landing more, but not landing many significant shots. I will watch the fight again without Lederman's brand of "Move forward and be awarded the round" scoring playing in my ear.
So on first watch I have 7-5/8-4 GGG, but I will watch again at some point.
I just can't see 10-2 Canelo, if that card had been closer I'd be less offended by the outcome. Even the 114-114 card was not terrible because 1,2,11,12 I thought were definitely Canelo rounds and that was 4 of 6 of that card's Canelo rounds.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 09-17-2017, 12:57 AM.

8-4 golovkin.
GGG fought a consistent fight the whole way through. He controlled with the jab, fought smart, and was better defensively than Canelo was prepared for.
Canelo fought in spots, but lacked the consistency to make his work more defining that the ever present jab of GGG.
Most of the rounds that you can give to him, are based off 30 seconds of activity at the start of the round, and maybe a rally at the end of the round vs GGG's consistent work 3 min of every round.

I had Golovkin winning on activity and aggression.
They both nullified each other pretty well and paced themselves.
Canelo slipped a lot of punches, Golovkin brushed off a lot of punches.
It was an awkward fight, and the action didn't heat up until the final rounds.

Crisper maybe, but are the punches actually more effective if they failed to keep GGG off of him?
