Canelo didn't do a thing for about 8 rounds apart from a few flashy shots.

Before anyone says "that's how Floyd won his fights" - nah, Floyd was always in control in his fights though. Canelo was being bossed around the ring for most of the fight.

He didnt have to do anything but counter GGG all day. Which is pretty much what he did. GGG just came in throwing a mix of weak and power punches at air for 12 rds. It is similar to how Floyd wins his fights except Floyd would push back more than Canelo did tonight. Floyd would probably get off first on GGG all day and get hit even less. But what Canelo did tonight was a pretty defensively sound game. He got hit way less than GGG and threw the harder more accurate punches. At no point in the fight was he even worried about GGG's power. Those punches don't even phase him. GGG has got to throw harder punches more often instead of just coulple range finders then his big right hand. Everyone knows now that the right hand is coming after the he throws a few jabs. Canelo saw most of those right hands from miles away. GGG was totally ineffective many times during the fight. Yeah he tried to press Canelo, but to do what? Land 2 out of 9 punches? Once Canelo learns to consistently get off first, he is a complete fighter. After seeing how easily he countered GGG, I believe he can knock GGG out if a rematch happens. It's just like Chocolotito, just walking through shots until you run into that guy who catches you. Seriously where is GGG's defense? Has anyone even seen it recently? I feel bad because he probably thinks he can win in the rematch. But if you dont have the defense to get away from alot of punches by now, you're not gonna get it back in 4-6 months. He's gonna get beat up next time around. I think 40 year old Floyd would take him to school easy. Floyd's probably sitting at home right now like.. didnt they want me to fight this guy? hmmmm

I haven't even said that I'm a GGG (or Canelo) fan. Did give Canelo credit for his performance though.
