Fighting washed up and overmatched 154 guys at 155 when you should be at 160 is a great way to get some almost guaranteed wins.

Can you really fault Canelo for fighting the guys that he did? GGG was the only 160lb fighter worth fighting. That's why Golovkin has been so desperate to fight Canelo. There was no names at 160. Look at GGG's resume. It's arguably not much better than Arthur Abraham's was during his 4-year run as IBF Champion. People thought Arthur was a monster, too, even making him the favorite to win the Super-Six 168-lb tournament. Canelo called the shots, had other lucrative options, and only took the GGG fight when he felt ready. GGG fans are bitter because Golovkin had few other options while waiting in the meantime, and he didn't have the star-power or clout to force the showdown to happen sooner. BUT Golovkin has got the fight that he wanted now. We'll see if Canelo is still the overmatched 154lb fighter that GGG hopes he is.

I'm curious as to what weaknesses they're thinking of. From what I've seen it could be:

-Weakened Stamina in old age.
-Doesn't have fastest hands in the sport.
-Vulnerable to counters.

It's funny when people talk about how slow gggs hands are, they look slow but they work in combination with his footwork which actually speeds them up again, whereas canelo seems to have fast hands but doesn't really move when throwing, optical illusion, proven by how much GGG actually lands his punches

But you still gotta take into account if he'll have the chin to withstand Bumlovin punches

you're pretty biased. GGG cleaned out 160 while canelo fought 154 fighters at 155. You end your smack with canelo being a 154 fighter?

Those fights won't prepare Candelita for GGG. All that extra muscle is gonna do the diva in. She'll be OK for 3-4 rds, but after that, she's toast.

I'm guessing Sanchez and GGG spotted how open Canelo is when he comes in for his 3 combo stuff.. GGG has the power and chin advantage and may just pick him off coming in, the right distance etc. Lets see tomorrow.

I know what you said , but a guy who is considered to continually fight bums is himself considered a bum, .a fighter like canelo shouldn't watch out for any punches coming from a bum,
