Makes me think they didnt fancy Burtons lanky boxing style tbh
Yes I agree. Anthony Yarde is going to end up 20-0 with 18 or 19 KO's. But we won't know if he can take a punch, or how he reacts under pressure or on the backfoot. How will he react to someone who can take his power? Wouldn't surprise me if the WBO belt becomes vacant this year and Yarde wins it against a journeyman not even in the top 50.
This mittwork is for reflexes and reaction timing and a good way to staying loose nothing wrong with incorporating it into his regime.
Every fighter takes little bits from other fighters all. You can see he's influenced by Haye & Floyd a lot - good fighters to learn from especially for his style.
He didn't have much of an amateur career in fact he only had a dozen amateur fights.
Its good to see an athlete freak. A fast, explosive, hard-hitting prospect who is actually defensively responsible and not totally reliant on bombing fools out.
Burton made a very good account of himself against buglioni and in many eyes was leading or at least level on the cards when he got chinned..
Frank warren and his bitter bastard ways scuppered yarde on this occasion. Turning down 80k and burton for a measly 15/20k to fight nemesapati .. a stand in for some other bum that went missing just because it makes him sick working with hearn.
Warrens a ****.. and yardes career is gonna go the way of the toilet.
