I really doubt it. Rematch Brook-ggg at 155, that version of ggg you see in the pic would have to lose 5 more lbs.

Brook blitzed him when they fought, the fight wasn't long but by the time it was stopped ggg had taken a lot of punches and damage. He had to go full killer mode to take him out asap.

At 155 ggg's chin, stamina, power, all of it would be heavily affected far more so than Canelo's. I could even see Brook stopping him at that weight.

They are around the same size after Canelo's training camp, but Canelo is not used to fighting actual middleweights.

Canelo is taking on the tougher challenge, ggg is fighting a guy who's best win at 160 is a punching bag. Great win for Canelo, good win for ggg.
So, let's see if I have this right, your giving ggg **** because he's fighting little canelo yet you give canelo credit for fighting little cotto and khan, along with giving ggg **** about 154-168, yet as far as I recall he never said that, Abel said it, is that correct?

And just because nowadays, people care about collecting as many alphabet titles as they can over as many weight classes as they can doesn't mean you can **** all over someone who wants to keep it old school and unify in one division.

And of course he cares about money - what fighter doesn't? You can care about money and legacy at the same time - the two aren't mutually exclusive.
so golovkin cares about money and legacy? i dont think so...he cares about money

what part of legacy was the brook fight? what fight would be better for your legacy? beating canelo or beating andre ward....so instead you duck a fight with ward to fight the smaller guy for the bigger purse......what part of golovkins mw legacy is canelo? the guy with 0 wins against middleweights? canelo won lineal at a CW from a guy that won it at a CW ...and then he defended it at a CW...lol

you can duck a guy thats a division north of you if you try to make fights with guys like froch and chavez in that division...and then say you will only fight the champ from that division at 164...lol

when you say youll fight anyone "to 168"...but when reply "no thanks" in 30 minutes when ward contacts you...its a duck...guy was running his mouth about 168 though when ward was sidelined....

Just like Floyd Canelo is moving up in weight, facing the tougher challenges, his 3rd division in the span of just 7 years.

ggg 11 years to move up or down and has not budged from 160

The difference between the Floyds and Canelos is they seek out better competition, ggg on the other hand does nothing.

That is why this is a great win for Canelo, and just a good win for ggg.

One word. Age you dum ****. GGG turned pro late where canelo turned pro at 15. If ggg turned pro at 15 you would have been saying ggg moved up 5 weight classes. CONG**** FOR DUMBEST POST OF THE YEARS.

So by that rational, if Ward doesn't fight Joshua is he ducking him? I see...

And if he'd gone to 168 to fight Froch or Chavez but not Ward, you could accuse him of ducking Ward. But as long as it's all heresay then you can't.

Also, he was meant to be fighting Chris Eubank jr, who then started making outrageous demands so Eddie Hearn offered the fight to Brook instead. It's not like GGG started calling out Brook - it was a fight born out of circumstance.

              lololol....what sad desperation

so were comparing a career 160lb fighter(golovkin) ducking a guy that, to that point, had spent his career at 168 ...to....ward ducking a guy that weighs 230lbs? lolol

he wasnt meant to fight eubank...that whole show was a sad attempt at covering up a brook fight....anyone can see it.....the brook name had been floated in the media a year before they made it.....they knew if they came straight out with it they would have gotten laughed at and killed for it...but under the guise of a "last minute" deal it was acceptable

So lame, day before a huge fight and still with building up the story line for after the fight.

Translation. Canelo gets more respect because I like him better. I hate ggg so I can't give him the respect he deserves.

No, Ward and Hunter have publicly stated that they'd consider fighting Joshua, whereas GGG said he would fight anyone within one weight class of him. I'm just using the same logic you used to arrive at the conclusion that GGG ducked Ward, which of course he didn't.

Also, I'm not buying that the plan was for Brook to fight him all along because Brook needlessly gave away his undefeated record by taking that fight. He'd been very carefully managed up to that point and to go up two weight divisions and fight an absolute killer, although brave, has all the hallmarks of a last minute deal.

Also, you've probably already seen this but....
