Obviously Floyd stands alone in terms of sales on all fronts.

I think AJ has a chance to surpass everybody but Floyd. Unless he finds a way to penetrate the US market, then anything is possible.

Evander two biggest PPV are against Mike Tyson.
Im not event sure his two fights with Lennox Lewis sold much more than 2 million together.

Mike Tyson vs. McNeely sold about 1.5 million buys.

The world is bigger than just the US.
Joshua is already a bigger name in the UK than both Mayweather and Lennox Lewis.

I think he will become a bigger name than Mayweather all over the world which incluce Africa, Asia, Oceania and South America.

I dont think he will become bigger than Mayweather in the US.
He is already bigger in Europe than Floyd.

There is just something about a Heavyweight champion.

Joshua selling 75k tickets for a "meh" mediocre fight vs pulev
Wilder hasn't sold 75k tickets, his whole career combined
True but don't ignore price in this evaluation. Everything related to boxing is much much cheaper in the UK.

The live gates are also much lower than in the US. The Joshua v. Klitschko live gate was only around $9 million on 90k tickets sold. That averages to $100/ticket. Very different landscape.

80k is crazy.. Against Pulev? I’ve not heard many people talk about this fight so I assumed they wouldslowly sell around 50k by week 2 (Which is still brilliant numbers) I means there aren’t many other fighters that sell 50k in 2 weeks. But 70k in one day? That just proves Joshua is on another level.

If you thought AJ vs Vlad lead up was boring then this is gonna be worse.. Pulev may be confident and a good trash talker but we’ll never know cus he doesn’t speak English. But Props to Hearn and AJ as they will break records anyway.. This makes boxing a bigger sport so it’s a win for boxing fans.

Wilder is very far from headlining cards that totaled 75k..

This dude has about a dozen headline fights, and they are all about the 3-7k range..

And yes, I think every big Mexican superfight should be in Dallas stadium.. great environment for superfights

I agree with everything you said, my only point was that Evander was more valuable than Mike in his day at the box office. But culturally he didn't compare.

I don't know if anybody will ever get to that Tyson level of notoriety. AJ is no doubt the man though.

Yeah absolutely, I agree nobody will ever get to that Tyson level. That is also why I said since Tyson, which I think he can if he keeps winning.

They were right. Joshua gained a great amount of publicity and fans from the Wlad fight. If the Wlad fight didn't happen this would be an 02 Arena fight.

The first release was actually exclusively on stubhub, maybe they're making a move into first party ticket sales but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a bunch of resale tickets on there already
