Jacobs hurt Golovkin to the body at one point but he never followed up. Golovkin covered up the side where he got hit with his elbow for a good while. I don't remember if the HBO crew mentioned it in their commentary. Especially RJJ since he's good at catching things like that.

yeah i dont think its some achilles heel for golovkin, hes not shown any more vulnerability to the body than canelo has. as u said, i dont think any fighter likes getting hit to the body, just people talking nonsense for the sake of it.

Great advice from the man himself, the trainer of champions.

GGG is a midrange fighter. Getting in close, smothering him, and breaking down his body gives Canelo the best chance of winning.
