This is a significant thread that needs to be bumped.
The premise is simple. Fighters don't really need the Canelos, Cottos, GGGs, Pacquaios, Mayweathers... to become big, relatively.
All they need is to find a rival similar to the Gatti/Ward, Morales/Barrera, etc. rivalries, as some examples.
Rivalry in a promotional sense, not in a bitter sense.
Ward/Gatti became the best of friends in just the 2nd fight.
If Lubin wins and beats Charlo, or at least managed to deliver a competitive performance, this thread's premise would be proven.
As already mentioned, there are other potential rivalries like Jermall vs Jacobs, Andrade vs Lara, which is gone, gone, gone...
