That's all casuals might care about, but if you've been paying any attention to most of the recent fights where these guys show up looking like zombies and then get absolutely murdered, it's clear that knowing and being sure that they're cutting safely and healthily is quite important.

I'm not insinuating anything. I'm theorizing that like the two clear examples I gave, it's not outside of the realm of possibility that Canelo is doing the same to gain a weight advantage. Not sure how many times I have to use the word IF before that resonates with you.

Changing my mind daily on this fight man. Stylewise I think GGG should be able to win because Canelo isn't the type of fighter that knows how to smother and neutralize come forward big fighters without having to throw and leave himself open.

Plus GGG isn't a swarmer that's gonna move forward and throw uncalculated punches and leave himself open to counters, GGG is a come forward counterpuncher by nature with a great offensive weapon in the almost perfect jab he throws very frequently and consistently throughout his fights. Canelo is way too heavy on his feet to outbox GGG for more than 6 rounds and he's not strong enough to hurt GGG with one shot and GGG won't give Canelo too many chances to counter.

On the other hand I just watched the Jacobs fight and I didn't like what I've seen from GGG, a lot of stuff he couldn't really deal with and he looked faded towards the end of the fight, Canelo on the other hand has been coming to his own in the last couple of fights and he's been looking very very good. Canelo is also the better inside fighter and if he was able to take away GGG's jab and turn the fight into an inside fight all while taking the necessary breathers on the inside that he needs to take, then he should be fine, plus he's the A side so if it goes 12 and it was close Canelo will get the decision.

But then I watched the media workout and despite Canelo looking physically much better than GGG, I felt he was getting winded and that he couldn't keep up a high pace for too long without having to breathe heavily, he looked kind of spent and I think the extra muscles aren't doing his already questionable stamina any favors, GGG looked kinda soft but he looked very relaxed and looked very explosive when he wanted to. All smiles and stuff, so I again switched to GGG. I've never seen Canelo in this kind of fight where he's at a significant size and power disadvantage against a very well schooled fighter like GGG, so as of right now I'm rolling with GGG, but this can change very soon.

We have been paying attention for like 30 years now, that isn't a new thing but I guess you now care more about Canelo health. If they want to turn up like a zombie that's their problem. Trying to make out like Canelo planned this all along is silly. These are two of the top guys in the world and if they can't cut weight safely then they are in the wrong business.

I don't think not weighing in 7 days before a fight makes any difference that is more for the fighters and organisation, nor do I think it was planned all a long by Canelo. He isn't fighting for the WBC belt and that's that.

If we are talking about fighters not rehydrating more than 10% of 160 on the morning of the fight then I would probably think Canelo "Thought it out" all a long. But this is before the fight and like I said no body cares as long as they made weight on weigh in day.

And that Triple G looked like he weighed about 165.

I was accurate on Triple G's weight as this 7 day weigh in confirms.

Canelo is tapering his weight down now but he definitely looks heavier between the two and definitely has more weight to lose in a week than Triple G does.
You need glasses. Every stop they did on their multi city tour GGG was MUCH bigger. Your never accurate. You just make sht up and close your eyes and picture GGG 135 lbs and Canelo 6'8" 245lbs.

Same day weigh in will only remain for fights that just involve the IBF title.

Canelo and Triple G do not have to weigh in the morning of the fight.
I forgot about that. I'm sure GGG fans will call it the Canelo Rule.

Who is talking about the press tour? Did I mention the press tour, no. So what the hell are you talking about?

Whatever, please move your sensitive fan boy self onward. Come correct or not at all.

For the 30 day weigh in G was 170.

And though Saul did not participate. It was reported from his camp he was at 175 a couple of days before that 30 day weigh in that G participated in.

I know what I'm talking about. I guessed G's weight from Thursday and was accurate. I'm not picking sides, I can care less who wins. I'm not a fanboy of either so I can talk and view things from a neutral standpoint and give an honest, unbiased, real, truthful, opinion.

I don't have time or wish to talk to fanboys, come correct or don't talk to me. Thank You

I think he has to do same day weigh-in though because he is fighting for the IBF. (I think).

Oh, you already answered it. I said the same thing. With the IBF rule, they can dehydrate only so much weight, right? If so, I wonder how much? Seems like it's 10% of their weight the day before the fight. I don't remember.

Same day weigh in is no longer needed for unification fights or fights that include multiple titles.

Only fights that have the IBF title alone does the same day weigh in apply still.
