The IBF removed the same day weigh in requirement for unification fights or fights that involve multiple world titles.

Same day weigh in will only remain for fights that just involve the IBF title.

Canelo and Triple G do not have to weigh in the morning of the fight.

Maybe if you guys would actually READ what I wrote, it would make sense.

He's not fighting for WBC. That means he's not subject to mandatory 7 day weigh in. Who cares about day before the fight? We don't know how well Canelo's cutting. For all we know he's well beneath the target weight and sitting comfortably. The 7 day weigh in is the gauge for the public to see how well fighters are cutting. Remember, he's not fought at 160. He's always fought at Caneloweight.

If he made weight already and is still comfortably shredded with full energy, it means after the final weigh in, he won't end up like Chavez Jr.

IF - keyword IF - that's happening, it means G won't be walking through Canelo like people think.

Back on Thursday and Friday when those black and white pictures were shown on Canelo and Triple G's accounts.

I had said that Canelo looked like he weighed anywhere from 170 to 175.

And that Triple G looked like he weighed about 165.

I was accurate on Triple G's weight as this 7 day weigh in confirms.

Canelo is tapering his weight down now but he definitely looks heavier between the two and definitely has more weight to lose in a week than Triple G does.

Firstly no need for attack, am merely asking you a question because am baffled with the "He thought it out" So this meant he thought it out?

I think the public cares more about a fighter making weight a day before the fight than what they weight 7 days out.

I don't know how Canelo not fighting for the WBC belt/having to weigh in 7 days out was a "thought out" thing, most fans couldn't care less how fighters make the 7 days weigh in, as long as they make the actual weigh in and show up for the fight.

And finally just because Canelo doesn't weigh in or doesn't want to fight for the WBC belt doesn't mean he isn't on point with the 7 days weigh in. It would be in his best interest to get his weight down steadily with 7 days to go, so that notion that he thought it out doesn't make any sense.

Both fighters will have an easy time making weight. 2 prime fighters ready for a war. Canelo is about to give a boxing lesson to this limited brawler

Was intrigued by what a couple of G's past opponents have been saying in that its not so much the power with Golovkin, its the pressure he puts on so that the punches just keep coming, some that you don't expect. Kind of tallied with what Rosado once said that Golovkin's power wasn't an issue, it was just the accumulation.

We also know that Canelo likes to take rests in fights, and got to wonder with the added weight if he's going to need more of the same. Add that to Golovkin's constant pressure, and Canelo isn't going to be able to take his customary catnaps mid-fight.

Golovkin is clearly gearing up for 12, and unless Canelo can take him out, hard to imagine that Canelo won't end up getting hit more than he's ever been hit before, and a lot harder too. If Canelo wins, he's going to have to earn it. Gonna be good.

In one you say 7 days out doesn't matter, in another you say it's important that he go down steadily. How exactly do you know he's going down steadily without a 7 day weight check in to compare against any other weigh in?

It doesn't matter that Fighter A shows up on fight night having met the weight requirement if they had to damn near kill themselves to get there.

Remember what Canelo said. He said he wasn't going to let WBC dictate anything to him.

                    Remember what happened:

Lemieux cheated. Why are y'all praising him?

Jacobs cheated. Why are y'all praising him?

Had to do with ducking out of weight and rehydration disclosure requirements by refusing one of the belts at the late game. It's a strategy that many fighters use to get a weight advantage come fight night.

Again, I said IF that's why Canelo actually refused the belt - because he wants to keep his weight shifts secret until final weigh in - we won't know how healthy or not he is until they're in the ring. I don't know about you, but I'd call that brilliant. IF that was his plan.

7 days weigh in doesn't matter for the fans, all we need to know is fighters make weight on weigh in day. You are insinuating that Canelo plan all a long was not to fight for the WBC belt due to the 7 days weigh in.... Really???
