The Way Gonzalez Fought Was Embarrassing
Collapse

With Estrada drained 4 pounds, in a very competitive fight hahahaha, wow.
cuadras? Cuadras whooped his ass:
Cuadras destroyed this guy, because Gonzalez ducked the immediate rematch with Cuadras and that was the reason why Choco Pig fought with his daddy Sor Rungvisai.
Go figure!
And now, Estrada will school the thai and put his name on the boxing glory...Comment

Gonzalez has the same reach and hegith than Sor Rungvisai.
Gonzalez principal fault is his 0 defense and flat footed style.
He is a donkey.Comment

Great post.
Gonzalez is a hype job, very good fighter but with the level of Santa Cruz...
It was embarrasing see Gonzalez not landing a ****ing jab in all the fight.
He is a donkey... "peeleft:
Plus Gonzalez had a very soft career.
He only had 3 elite rivales: Estrada, WITH 21 YEARS OLD AND IN 108 POUNDS, ESTRADA MOVED TO 108, DRAINED WITH 4 POUNDS.
Cuadras, where he got his ass whooped, and with this thai that is his daddy.
Gonzalez always was a protected fighter and a hype job by the press.Comment

Did the "size" difference prevent Gonzalez from using lateral movement? Did it prevent Gonzalez from holding, clinching when he got hurt? Did the size difference prevent Gonzalez from putting up his guard when being hit in the face? If an opponent is supposedly "bigger" then use your other skills to win the fight. Or as it pertains to Gonzalez..."what other skills?"
2) Clinching / holding is less effective against a heavier opponent because they are physically stronger. Thus, they are able to neutralize / nullify those moves.
3) Putting guard up is also less effective against a heavier opponent relative to a lighter opponent because even the punches landing on the guard by the heavier opponent has more effect than getting punched on the guard by lighter opponents.
4) That's the point. There aren't 'other skill's that can be used to overcome weight advantage when two guys are roughly evenly matched. Skill divisions don't exist in boxing. Only weight divisions do. You want to know why? Because weight is the MOST significant factor in boxing which contributes to the outcomes of boxing bouts. Hence, boxers are separated by weight divisions.Comment

Gonzalez has been the bigger stronger guy most of his career. He runs into one guy that's bigger and stronger and he can't adjust? He can't use his #1 p4p skills to win? The bigger stronger guy doesn't always win. The more skilled guy wins.Comment

Gonzalez was a hype job and a fighter that always be protected by the press.
Look actually all those clowns saying that little Chocolate needs to move to the inferior weight because he is sooooo tinyyyyyyyyy.
Poor david vs goliat...
Please...
This guy has not defense, is a flat footed fighter with a soft career.
Man, this guy has like 9 years like champ AND NEVER UNIFIED A DIVISION, NEVER CLEAN A DIVISION.
And he was a sore loser and a ducker.
Gonzalez was in 112 with the wbc belt.
Estrada had the wbo and wba belts.
Estrada said him: lets go to fight...
And roman gonzalez said: give me 2 millions...

1) Lateral movement is only so effective against a bigger sized opponent until they are able to catch the smaller sized opponent. There are enough examples proving this!

3) Putting guard up is also less effective against a heavier opponent relative to a lighter opponent because even the punches landing on the guard by the heavier opponent has more effect than getting punched on the guard by lighter opponents.

He bullied a lot of small guys in 105-108 pounds, then with men of his own size, he got his ass whooped...
So.
This ****** midget needs to be 10 pounds heavier than his rival to win a great fight?
