The reality is, RG went oen division too far, still managed to gain some success and then lost to a good, rugged, much bigger fighter. No harm in that.

Heck, he could still come back in rematches against Cuadras or Estrada although I think the latter has hit his peak and will rule the division soon.

In all honesty, if RG is able to do physically do it, he could still move down 3lb to fly and pick up some more title and the nretire as champ. He may never be as good as he was when I saw him up wins over guys like Estrada, Blanq, Yaegashi, Sosa and Viloria. As anyone who follows the sport known, 30 is ancient for most smaller guys.
    Much bigger man?

Sor has the same reach and height, ignorant.

Gonzalez said that he cant make the 112 again, he said this 2 years ago, pice of ignorant.

Wins like a Estrada in 108 pounds?

How you think that the people will criticize Canelo if he fights with GGG in 155 pounds?

Blanq? Who the fu.ck is he?

Yaegashi? A fuc.king B class champ, he never was a good fighter, he lost all his important fights.

Melindo K.Oed him in round 1.

    Sosa? Are you i.diot?

Sosa had like 40 years old.

Viloria was 35 years old and that fight was 3 years after Estrada schooled Brian.

People from here is too ignorant.

He was overrated by some people (Kellerman & Lampley) who said he was #1 P4P.

I never felt he was in the top 10 p4p, but at the same time I never felt he was garbage.

One thing I'll say is he should have fought el Gallo. My only issue with him. That fight should have happened this year or last year. He didn't run or cherry pick but he let it over marinate trying to make paydays.

Strange how some people forget how good a fighter was at his best, when he fades and takes a KO loss.

Gonzalez was definitely one of the top boxers of recent years, regardless of how shot he is now.

I had him no. 2 p4p but that was only after a couple of retirments and losses for other guys but why couldn't you see him top 10? he has arguably the best resume south of bantam and probably the most achievements in thsoe lower divisions of any fighter in the last 10 years.

In the last 3-4 years, can you relaly name 10 guys who could be consistently ranked above him p4p? I think that would be pretty hard to do.

                Agreed. Incredible fighter and career.

It's a shame HBO only showcased him, making him more well known, at the back end of his career.
