I was surprised he said that too. I think he's right though.

Honestly I think this fight all depends on the GGG that shows up. If he is mentally well prepped and game for the fight, I think he will put on one of his finest performances and ko Canelo by rd. 9 or 10. Canelo should have spent more time getting experience against bigger fighters.

A year ago I would have said 80/20, 75/25 in favour of Gee, now I think Ward is pretty much on the money - I'm favouring Golovkin for the win but I wouldn't be totally surprised if Canelo were to pull it off.

Hagler is considered to be number 1. Yet he never fought a natural middleweight like Canelo and GGG

I have ggg the favorite for the simple fact of Canelo not being a natural MW. Chavez Jr. was a garbage fight and Canelo's only fight at that weight.

This is yet another smaller fighter ggg is facing which he's made a career of doing.

ggg has taken a lot of punches his last 2 fights though and is on the wrong side of 30, I would not be surprised if Canelo cracks his chin with an uppercut and puts him down.

Canelo beating ggg is far more impressive than if ggg beats Canelo.

So you're telling me that there aren't 10 better middleweights in history than Canelo or GGG, depending on who wins the fight. Based on what? All the world class opponent's that GGG has fought? Or all the catchweights that Canelo has fought at? Great boxers yes... Top 10 All time? Even top 5 All time? No.
