He had a great run with great names on it , he went one weight class too many , if we take Rigo (who i feel is amazing) and take him up in weight he will get beat by less talented guys , size matters.Never should've been on the p4p list. Tough fighter. Exciting fights. He was never anywhere near p4p. P4P fighters are supposed to be well rounded. His defense was always below par. He was carried by his power his whole career until he moved up to 115. All credit to Cuadras who really beat him in their fight. Rungvisai gave him all he could handle in the first fight and finished him this fight.
Gonzalez was an exciting fighter. But once he moved up and his power didn't translate he didn't have the skills to beat people his own size. A p4p fighter (Manny, Floyd, Ward, Crawford) doesn't rely on power when they move up. They rely on skill.
Max said in the fighter interviews Roman said since he's moved up he can't control guys with his power anymore. Ward made a great point. If you're p4p you gotta find a way to win without power
He was P4P , went up for the money fights and was got bullied the most glaring thing was the fact he couldnt handle the punches , they hurt him so much he stopped throwing his own punches.Comment

He's a pretty dumb one, when he's not spreading his ******ity in the lounge it would seem he's spreading his ******ity here.I guess the last time I slapped you silly on the forum gave you amnesia.
Don't worry I'll save the next lashing for September 16 when you make the inevitable whiny thread calling Golovkin a hype job if he beats Canelo. Until then show some respect for the legends of the sport.
And learn what a one-two is while you're at it.Comment

And Ward didn't struggle with Kovalev? Or Barrera?
When true world class fighters meet there is rarely much in it.
Indongo? That guy is ****, one of the worst world champions not just of this era but throughout history and can't even throw a punch of any description without falling off balance. He is like 5ft10 and fights like he is 4ft10 constantly off balance and overreaching. He isn't anywhere near the calibre of an Estrada, Cuadras or even a Viloria and the likes. Never was, never will be. Who has he ever beat some prospect and Ricky Burns and frankly who hasn't beat Burns?Comment

My lack of coherence? You said something about Broner being on the p4p list. I said I don't even know if he was ever on the p4p list and if he was they were wrong. A poster informed me he was on the p4p list in 2012. I said he was hyped by HBO. You responded by talking about Showtime calling him the heir apparent to Floyd. I said he was on HBO at the time he was added to the p4p list. You bring up Showtime and the hype. The whole conversation was about the p4p list. The fact remains he was added to the p4p list when he was HBO. The media is always caping for HBO. Gonzalez should've never been top 5 p4p. That was a media led effort to rank him that high. And he just so happens to be on the same promotion as another guy who's ranked to high on the p4p list.Comment

Friend stop pretending you know **** about boxing when it's clear to the Don you know less about the sport than you do about politics which is about as much as a potato.Never should've been on the p4p list. This is why I'm pro school choice, kids coming out with mush brains going through the system can't even comprehend a sport.Comment

Did he look p4p against Cuadras and Arroyo? Cuadras would be equal to Postol and Arroyo would be equal to Indongo if we're comparing them to Crawford's resume, a real p4p fighter. He had a great run with great names on it , he went one weight class too many , if we take Rigo (who i feel is amazing) and take him up in weight he will get beat by less talented guys , size matters.
