Danny "the gift" Garcia better then Miguel Cotto... Stackz you have lost your ever loving mind. First of all Cotto was destroying opponents up and till the Margarito fight. I'd agree with anyone that said he isn't HOF material but rating Garcia over Cotto is rather insulting.

tbh is there really much of a difference? this is the type of thread people will laugh at but really have a think about there respective CV's, who theyve beat and the losses theyve got and is there really a huge difference? You really think Thurman would beat a prime Cotto that beat Clottey, prime Judah, Sugar Shane, undefeated Quintana, undefeated Paulie, and I'm only listing his notable WW fights. Also, he was beating the paste off of Margacheato, except he was using loaded gloves, thus being able to slow Cotto down, and damaging him so bad to take advantage of him, and tiring him out badly for the later rounds.

And that's just his resume. A 140 lb. Cotto would knock Danny TF out. Hands down. He took flush ass shots from a prime Ricardo Torres. Cotto at 140 was an absolute bull, and would march him down, and slaughter his body, and finish him off within 10. There's nothing Danny could do to hurt, or prevent Cotto from teeing off on him all night.

And at 147, no point in even entertaining this fight. Danny's limited and overrated ass was scared to even let his hands go agaisnt also limited and not as skilled, or even near as powerful and fast handed as Cotto, Thurman.

Exactly, a bunch of fools have no idea what they're talking about.

Cotto's biggest fights are Judah, Mosley, Margarito 1, Pacquiao, Margarito 2, Mayweather, Martinez and Canelo.

He's 4-4 in his biggest fights which means he's won some and he's lost some.

The first Margarito fight obviously is questionable because we don't know if they fought on an even playing field. We know for a fact that the rematch was fought on an even playing field.

He was pretty much training himself when he agreed to fight Pacquiao at a catchweight of 145. His fault for agreeing to the catchweight and training himself. But it is what it is, if circumstances were different and he had a trainer and fought at 147, the fight would have been more competitive. But he agreed to the catchweight and didn't have a trainer, that's not Pacquiao's fault, it's on Cotto. But it is what it is.

He gave Mayweather hell in their fight and fought Mayweather better and tougher than Pacquiao and Canelo did.

He beat Mosley, Margarito and Martinez. It wasn't Cotto's fault if Martinez wasn't 100%, just like it wasn't Pacquiao's fault if Cotto agreed to fight Pacquiao at 145 and with no trainer. Both Pacquiao and Cotto did what they had to do in those fights, Martinez and Cotto didn't have to take those fights under those conditions but they did.

When he fought Canelo in 2015, that was a passing of the torch fight, young lion, old lion. And Cotto fought well considering he was the smaller and older fighter. 119-109 and 118-110 was bogus. That was more like a 116-112 imo. Cotto gave a good account of himself, nearly every round was competitive. Considering he was 10 years older and smaller, Cotto fought well.
