He did not give the kid any hell at all. Canelo was very relaxed in the fight because Cotto couldn't hurt him. Anybody could see that. Cotto gave a damn good effort, but he couldn't win that fight with the size advantage. It wasn't a close fight, but for some reason people like you want to pretend it was.

And I do think GGG is going to stop Canelo btw. But Canelo isnt giving up the weight Cotto was giving up.

Like I stated above, if Cotto fights GGG or David in December, he'll get stopped (hopefully not hurt).

Cotto-Canelo was a damn close fight. Only reason i saw Canelo win was because he landed the harder shots but Canelo never dominated Cotto and Cotto never dominated Canelo. It was a close fight just like the Cotto-Mosley fight were Cotto won because of landing the cleaner harder shots.

Their are a few problems with this fight. Number 1 is Mikey seems to only want to do business on Showtime where as Miguel Cotto is an HBO fighter. Outside of the Mayweather Pay Per View fight I don't believe Cotto has ever fought on Showtime.

Weight would also be another factor even though Mikey says he would go up to 154.

Golden Boy wants Linares vs Garcia more than Cotto vs Garcia at the end of the day. If Mikey is serious about wanting to fight Cotto he's going to probably have to do a contract with Golden Boy so they can have options on Mikey after the fight.

Why doesn't cotto fight Lara or Charlo or Andrade!!! Stop with the BS catchweight... I know people call cotto out, I know Lara, Charlo, Andrade are not mainstream fighters.... I guess don't expect to ever see cotto fight a formidable opponent in his division or a midget in his division... frustrating to see how Floyd and Manny lead the whole catchweight era with diva like demands... cotto is number three on that list!!! let's just forget about divisions and have everyone fight everyone at catchweights!!!! Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Cotto need to retire for good....

Cotto vs Brook sounds like a great farewell fight. Solid opponent who brings something to the table and beatable

Cotto isn't fighting any threat, he hasn't really face any fighters that weren't drained or injured other than Canelo since losing to Trout. Cotto vs Soto Karas in December.

GB isn't trying to make the Mikey/Linares fight, they would have made that fight instead of having Linares wait to late Sept. to fight. Mikey isn't signing over any options to any promoter either, he works on a fight by fight basis.

How many times did Floyd use a catch weight? I only recall 2 times

GBP wants to feed Cotto to Lemiux. I hope Cotto sees tru this bull **** and says no to that fight. Lemiux is too big and strong. Cotto would be outweight by over 20 pounds on fight night. thats a silly fight to be honest but if Canelo wins they will use Canelo to make Cotto fight Lemiux in order to get a rematch. If so i hope the catchweight is 155 so David looks like a skeleton

SMH, If this is what Cotto is looking at Golovkin, Canelo or Lemieux then I do not see a good ending for Cotto.

I don't know how a fight can happen with Canelo or Golovkin in December. The turn around time from September 16th is only 2 and a 1/2 months. I don't see a fight with Golovkin or Canelo materializing that quick after them dudes have their war September 16th.

If he is I hope for Cotto's sake he is wanting a catch weight of 156, 157

I was hoping and still hoping that Cotto would be looking at guys like Lucas Matthysse, Amir Khan, Kell Brook for his last fight.

Not guys like Golovkin, Canelo or Lemieux that he virtually has almost no chance against. SMH
