Byrd would give James fits if they ever fought. James is a highly skilled fighter I have no doubt about that. But he is on the down side of the hill now.
I believe that James would fight Klit if they offered enough money. Enough for James to live comfortably there after since Kilt would probably hand him a sound beating and then James would no longer be a high priced commodity.

Leo, it's not a matter of deserves. if it was a matter of "deserve", most of the rich ****ers on the planet would be living in the streets.
Toney, regardless of the fact that he's out of shape at heavyweight, is the only "legitimate" person that Wlad has showed interest in fighting since his return.
Yes, he fought Peter, but anyone who knows anything about boxing knows that, at best, Peter is a diamond in the rough. The only threat that he posed was if he could just happen to get lucky and land a heavy punch against a much taller, faster, more skilled fighter. I think Peter can possibly be something some day, but only if his camp learns from the Little Klit fight.
Then he went on to an aging, slower, lowly regarded champion who, in the eyes of many, had already lost his belt twice in his last 4 fights. Not to mention the fact that he had already been beaten once by Klit.
Little Klit needs to fight someone who carries a little more legitimacy if he wants to be regarded, as his brother was, as the legitimate Heavyweight Champion.
While, again, anyone who knows anything about boxing, knows that there's an extremely high probability that Wlad will destroy Toney, Toney is that person. Toney would also be a larger draw to the fight than Wlad.
Personally, I think it would be a horrible fight. If Wlad keeps to the outside, paced style he has now, he will probably get Toney out of there before 8. Still, in the eyes of boxing fans anywhere, defeating Toney would give Little Klit the legitimacy he's looking so hard for.
Therefore, regardless of whether or not Toney deserves more money, he certainly rates it.Last edited by vB Martin; 06-05-2006, 01:15 PM.Comment

Granted, he did have some steroid issues that got him suspended for a hot minute but that doesn't take away from Toney's skillz(best believe it). Put Toney against Brewster or somebody, that might be a fight, but to compare him to (or even mention him) with Byrd, you best to start commentin' on golf or something, mang. Leave boxing to the people that actually watch more than 1 fight. Now Can U Dig Dat!!!!!!

I don't think you understand that the entire Russian/Ukranian population of Brooklyn and NYC is going to go see Wladimir-Toney, for Wladimir, not to see fat ass Toney.Comment
