Two weeks prior to the fight, Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe told reporters that ticket sales for the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Conor McGregor fight, which took place on August 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, were on a pace to break the all-time boxing gate record - which is held by Mayweather's 2015 showdown with Manny Pacquiao.

comical seeing people in here trying to celebrate. not sure exactly what they are celebrating tho the amount money this fight generated in such short time is unbelievable. my guess is the ppv comes up just short as well at like 4.4 or 4.5 with the reported split tho its looking like floyd is actually going to make more off this then the pac fight.Comment

The question I have is the tickets unsold at the event does the UFC and Mayweather take a hit on those unsold tickets or does it not matter?
Either way there's nothing wrong in doing the second best in Las Vegas history. As long as they don't have to pay a crazy number on refunds they should profit greatly.Comment
